  1. ultimately it will be a mid round pick and a big contract for a guy with question marks. Could be great value if he keeps it together and takes a step or two but might end up regrettable to pay him
  2. or much more cheaply in free agency than the type of player you target day 1
  3. I miss carving out a day with the guys. Grill or get some food- carve out a full afternoon. current setup is a drag.
  4. the flip side is at 2 or 3 are you trying to get a generational game changer or good settling for a reliable good starter? broad strokes I come to this feeling like hunter will be a good but not all pro guy…. I’ve admittedly watched less Carter but my gut leans similar to you with being a boom-bust i think that high you have to swing at the upside though. yea the guy would be playing a 40 game season if full time both ways. I think you have to put him at cb and let him be a 5-10 routes type
  5. What’s the opposite of manscaped? Is there a word for those two?
  6. one consideration is picking at 30 you are often compromising on *something* a guy with a weak 40 but decent production a guy with the talents but missing matching production tons of potential but maybe an injury history or a second tier position I guess the question is how often should that compromise be elite playmaker at key position but risks making off field headlines
  7. well, inherently it’s Stafford vs tua and a cast of mediocre backups I think when he has tua the gap in quality of his scheme’s performance closes - though I do think Stafford is much better than usually given credit for when ranking QBs I like mcvay more but also think it’s no coincidence he got the ring with the best qb in that group of coaches
  8. stafford vs tua is at least a large portion of that
  9. the reality is both Benford and Johnson have big health question marks wont be shocked with that double dip
  10. they take a DT and then we do too a few picks later
  11. a slow wr would be crushing.
  12. no one believes that smokescreen it’s worth doing homework on him and helps out an old colleague… but who knows if there is real interest
  13. it also may be seeing if he’s a viable October phone call if injuries come at either group and a bandaid is needed
  14. you can debate the cash but if this is too much drama it might be that you are being more dramatic than cook is
  15. yea, even if it’s not perfect optimization of resources - qb is such an important yes or no question for a franchise over a 15 year run that the only mistake is being scared to take a shot
  16. Interesting - I don’t know him at all really you always want to create stories for why the film doesn’t match what you see on paper but it’s good to remember that sometimes the answer is the guy doesn’t get it and not a simple injury
  17. oh of course- I was saying the news coverage was a huge gap from what happened not that @Kirby Jackson misled us.
  18. yea, just ugly all around. And I’m sure has not been great for awhile. Sister, parents…. Can’t imagine I am not going to celebrate what happened. Also not shying away from acknowledging the behaviors.
  19. even this story continues to grow with his gun firing allegedly being in the commission of stealing his sisters car i get being polite around suicide in the news but…. “Found dead” didn’t really give any color to the apparent saga his final hours were. Reading the story this morning I assumed he was discovered in his home after a discrete/private incident not that he stole a family members car via gun lead a police chase and shot himself crashing into a building
  20. the dude declared for the draft 3 days after the accident without taking responsibility for the crash. It’s more than some juvenile speeding with no idea what happened
  21. Im seeing reports he shot himself after crashing in a police pursuit…. You know, 2 days before the grand jury for his causing a death with his reckless driving if that’s correct, one might argue no lesson was truly learned and he died how he lived - putting innocent people at risk while dodging accountability
  22. I also think loomis wanted to prove he was the guy and not Bree’s/payton He really wanted to win without them
  23. tank and eat the cap hits finally
  24. he seems to think it’s pretty cool for his kids to actually see him play and that’s pretty cool
  25. the cost would be more than a very good corner and very good wr
