  1. where we diverge: I think the plan is maximizing what we have, and not always what the plan could be. if Keon exploded into a dominant threat- the plan would look different, for instance
  2. if we didn’t get the roughing the kicker and they marched down the field what would you have thought?
  3. At some point in the second half we crossed that threshold and did not succeed opening it up. Against a very bad secondary. Thats the point. it’s nit picky tonight. It may be the difference in us taking the trophy home later though.
  4. the problem isn’t Brady ball - I celebrated it in the first half. If you are walking down the field, no need to risk turnover, injury or sack in the second half on a few plays where we needed the shot - it wasn’t happening and it seemed to be perimeter skill, not play call in those moments.
  5. no one said perfection. I just think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how other teams are built if you think the options are cincy or us at WR.
  6. yes they did that by very explicitly toasting a single player who was catastrophic. I can hope Dallas makes the Super Bowl and we get Elam- but I do think it’s a fair challenge to point out that we may run into
  7. we have Josh. The expectation should be best offense of the decade if we reasonably support him. That doesn’t need to be $50m+ for WR1/WR2 for us to have options that can run
  8. I think you see where bass is once healthy but all things similar it should be him
  9. ultimately this is not a regular season thread. I suspect we all agree we are a 13-14 win team potentially but in February against the eagles down in the second half with the pass rush coming so we can’t get to our 4th read…. Do we have a matchup where we can count on a first read win downfield on 3rd and 8? or is it Josh getting in the sandlot and just hoping?
  10. why can’t you have both?
  11. was that them being exceptional or jaire being horrific? I guess we will see.
  12. mentioned that today the trophies would be nice but it’s a start
  13. but at some point you have to be able to make chunk plays or count on a guy to win a matchup. Fingers crossed someone progresses as I don’t think we have a guy where we can reliably call his number and expect him to win more often than not. A little bit of pass rush and playing from behind will be a real challenge for this offense if we can’t count on a first read and don’t have consistent time for sand lot. Josh will cover that up a lot but come January it might be our heel
  14. we didn’t need to force the issue tonight but it really stood out as a major concern.
  15. while part of the decision - when we needed a downfield play tonight it was not there against perhaps the weakest corners we will face
  16. had some pressure… the wr piece continues to worry me as a bill that will someday come due
  17. Got to see WRs make any play tonight
  18. Ugh - if WRs aren’t getting open downfield here… that’s a big red flag
  19. Time to put this silliness to bed with 7
  20. don’t really care. Do it 10 times, you get some comments on number 11 regardless
  21. totally unreal. id wonder the analytics of the cost of those hits vs having a much more boring guy out there
  22. It’s remarkable. If a db goes down it’s like 85% chance it’s either Rapp himself or caused by him
  23. the talent differential tonight is massive.
