  1. to your point the song has already shown multi generational staying power. This isn’t a flash in the pan from last years top 40, it’s a song that this teams parents were into as young adults and now their kids on the team were shouting at their wedding and what’s happening now? Kids in the stands are getting hooked (as are kids around the country because it’s a culturally popular song outside Buffalo) I don’t know if it’ll be a multi decade staple in the stadium but it does have a lot of the makings as long as you don’t hyperanalyze it. This is a keep it simple topic: people like that song on a gut level because you scream it with your friends at parties and in bars and at weddings and now at the stadium.
  2. if the are 1-5 then either of those records are a nearly unreasonable hot streak and not a forecasted outcome
  3. so it’s more the opportunity to provide social commentary that keeps you coming back here
  4. weird to even be on a message board if the only thing that matters is the record. Seems easy to keep track of without the help of strangers.
  5. I’ve never seen a team lose a Super Bowl using a tight end at punter ive seen a ton lose it with a punter punting
  6. listen, the trick play is him actually punting
  7. Thats the thing- DE is maybe second to QB on guys getting overdrafted. Anyone outside the top 15-20 picks isn’t likely an instant impact. Doesn’t mean he won’t develop but to fall that far is meaningful. You get quick impact RBs there, not pass rushers typically.
  8. it’s a fine play design. It’s an awful call on the context of it being a huge moment and a backup RT
  9. if you are courting the international audience, he’s absolutely massive I think the nfl believes they have already cornered the football super fan market and we are not the primary concern with regards to growing Super Bowl engagement
  10. I guess my phrasing was poor but to the point that I don’t think our 31 is of any real noteworthy difference to the Texans 26. I didn’t watch every game to catch whether struggles to get to 25 vs taking the foot of the gas but I suspect our last field goal didn’t mean we were terribly more accomplished than if we set the threshold at a number in the 20s or substantially worse than if the thread argued we failed by not crossing 32. my point simply being that it isn’t like scoring 30 is driving away from the pack. Half the league is 25+ so far this week
  11. a) I’m not sure that’s your 4th and inches play ever but especially with a backup pulling. b) of course you cater playcalling to who is on the field
  12. I’m not sure you realize this but they too were missing starters on the o line and d line
  13. I mean, is it that he tripped on his pull or that he was even asked to pull on 4th and inches?
  14. 30 is not a remarkable feat. Basically every winning team that’s not the giants was at worst within one scoring drive of it
  15. and on the bright side, we only have to get like 1 tackle on less than half our plays many weeks. Practically a niche skill set.
  16. yea, probably 100% healthy at the end of the season
  17. yes and no? Kamara is just getting A LOT more of his touches as screens and swing passes instead of handoffs.
  18. Mcvay is wild. He could tell you the 12th play of the third quarter of week 4 in 2017. The players involved, exact play call and outcome. He also is very smart with forcing tells with formations and motion this feels like the meathead complaining the smart kid has better grades
  19. rice will be back from suspension but I think many neglecting it’s also a return from injury. I’m not sure we see a fully 100% explosive version of him.
  20. No joke, just bumped into him at the airport and they gave his rental car away. I presume he ubered to his hotel after but if you see the man walking, try and help him out.
  21. yea - that’s kind of the impression I had. I’ll probably be getting the family out the door at like 8-830 if they are the humans I believe they are just coming from the downtown Airbnb but sounds like parking elsewhere and strolling that direction
  22. I do often wonder if the over/under throw factor is the wide receivers in play not doing him favors in tracking and adjusting routes etc…
  23. Texans here- looking for the worst team in comfortable with not the obvious blowout. At home, vs a bad team, back against the wall. Demeco vs a rookie qb.
  24. he’s always been a handful to manage. that said, if managing him for a few months - and you let him play - I do imagine he’d like it here and give the defense a little more spunk
