    yup - if they can avoid injury or distraction, they have a lot of sheer talent in the building. That’s a huge if for them though, given the team they assembled. they could be a Super Bowl contender or 3rd in their division and eliminated by early December really easily

    Dejean if he’s great - half the paycheck of a wr still. you have to hit on DE or WR in the draft to reset the window to being akin to having a rookie contract qb.

    So your stance is he is emphatically here and doing nothing at all to invite the response he has gotten essentially his entire career? it’s just a vast media conspiracy against him to create clicks, and he could do nothing to remedy this problem?

    the guy poking the bear is easier to remedy than is the bear. I’d agree anyone getting totally out of sorts over it is silly but it’s exactly what he’s looking to get too. something about his behavior not matching the words particularly well - no?

    everyone in the building is desperate to prove they can do it without Sean/drew but the way to do that is a hard reset not digging deeper. the owner is absentee in football decisions - so basically the opposite

    At 10m you could get a fringe top 5 center, or settle for a not even top 5 WR2 Even so, it’d be less than 10m in cap savings compared to a mediocre wr being the same (and a top guy being 25m)

    imagine, he may play even better than his career year being even further removed from the Achilles injury

    It’s not the end all be all but it’s a consideration. a guy that’s elite at preparation and honing his craft will be fine though if he has the arm strength, hand size etc…. And if he’s missing any of that it’s a concern in January games regardless of where home is.

    private visits are completely normal occurrences for guys at position of need (especially around your picks day 1-2)

    if you don’t understand why it’s productive to say whether you think he’s getting 10m or 40m a year (or somewhere in between) when saying they should extend him, I’m not sure what to say. It’s like the folks debating whether he should be traded but all have wildly differing values in their heads. apparently that requires super computing to do though
