  1. A mistake to blow up the team? You heard a Big Bang and find yourself standing in rubble and think the explosion didn’t happen yet?
  2. It can be tough with just 45 active and several of those being specialists but.... totally agree that you get the all pro players out
  3. Yup, outside of smith who predated everyone... they didn’t invest there. It’s been a worry since we brought in Carolina leadership. that said- benjamin Coleman and kerley represent a 3rd, 7th and like 13m in cap space. Roll in a trade up for zay. We’ve spent. Just terribly.
  4. Across 23(?) games it’s amazing the number of blowouts as well as the number of games with no touchdowns at all (or until deeeeep into the game)
  5. Weve sold damn near everything. That’s how outside of Minnesota we are averaging like 9 ppg in the easiest to score era yet.
  6. I can at least (to a degree) give some grace to those not being their guys. Dead money from guys cut in the season they were signed is always obnoxious. Kerley is far less but his irks me a tom. yours is obviously the more important decisions but ugh on those little ones too
  7. They also had cam surrounded by Steve Smith, Greg Olsen, behind a better line and with one of the better rb tandems in the league
  8. All you need to do is take his cap hit and back out the already paid out money that’s been amortized (ie signing bonus) bar napkin- the team that paid it keeps it on their books
  9. The contracts honestly not bad. Hits would be 20m or lower the whole way for whoever gets him and essentially no hit to cut him, so a series of 1 year non guaranteed deals
  10. Coleman and/or McCarron alwas nice when you gaurantee guys top 10-15 pay on your team and they don’t play a snap for you
  11. Unfortnately, your year one should be offseason one. Your year two is then free agency and the draft. Your year 3 is at latest offseason two. our process here has been odd at best and if we manage to only slowly blow it up and then not immediately get it right... well...
  12. Too predictable week 1 has to be extreme leaving the board hopeless or irrationally excited when we all know It’ll be relatively mediocre most weeks
  13. He showed that Fitz has drawn more, draws them at a higher rate. fewer attempts and far fewer sacks (presumably fewer hits) and more flags. He blends some formatting but are you even alleging?
  14. He’s fitz-like. Maybe the 25th best qb. The type you have to replace but will see some action
  15. Well, he was still on the original final year last year. This year would be the option.
  16. At least get someone on the practice squad, right? I get it’s tough to carry 4 QBs, and you can’t go into this week with Anderson as the only one that’s healthy and knows any plays (so cutting NP and signing someone’s tough, especially not knowing how far Anderson’s come around).... but peterman can’t be #2 even for a few weeks here.
  17. Then why haven’t we signed someone else and when do we cut him
  18. Hes checked a ton of boxes. Longevity is next and of course only comes with time. We’ve seen a ton of good months and even many good seasons. It’ll be a matter of consistency, growth, health and a little luck from here but it’s been a great start.
  19. Yea, but mcd hired a qb coach. Granted, a wr coach to coach QBs... but progress.
  20. The games faster and magnifies shortcomings in the regular season. It gets worse in the 4th quarter, and then moreso in post season.
  21. Because WR pay was really just exploding. I think this board struggles to keep up with some trends like that. He’s only the 33rd best paid wr. So a good WR2 pay rate and less than benjamin. There was a stretch with that WR group, and our beast defensive line plus mccoy, and a solid secondary and o line that we may have had one of the better 52 man rosters but were missing the most important position
  22. No one ever remembers their team benefiting from a questionable call. It’s the beauty of sports- we remember the heartbreaking screw jobs that cause losses and win solely on merit
