  1. Past hour
  2. Diggs, Knox, Singletary, Smoke or Sanders, Beasley and Davis was definitely good enough….. Of course, we had a poor OL then…. And all our blue chip defenders were in the secondary…. The Tre White injury was huge for the Bills…. Now? Our OL took some hits with Morse and Bates leaving, but especially Morse of course. We’ll see if Edward’s or Prangle can fill a gap. Our skill positions took big hits too… We still lack speed, imho… it was very apparent vs. better Ds last season and it will probably be a problem this year as well. We don’t need fast players, we need good fast players. I think Coleman looks like he might end up being a good one, but I loved adding Davis. His big downside is miles as he has just a crazy amount of Carries already. But I really like his film and we needed a RB real bad. We’ll find out this year how good of an OC we have. Now that he has a full offseason to run whatever he wants. i just wonder if Joe Brady got his guys or McBeane’s guys? On defense, we desperately need an All-pro DL. Someone to draw a lot of attention to himself. A dominator. If we had one our decent DL players would look much better. Again, we need one bad! We look great at LB but our little LBs are dependent on our DL keeping them clean. Can it? IDK? We probably cannot sustain any injuries at DL either. I like that we appear to have really solid depth at LB…. Secondary - We look OK here but really have very little depth at spots you really need good depth at. We also lost all three blue chip players but in reality, we lost all three after the 2021 season. So… OK but real thin. STs - They also look iffy as both of our kickers make a good buck. Our punter was a hero last season so perhaps he can do it again. Our kicker had a really poor season for him, maybe he can come back… No one who is going to return. We had trouble on STs many times last season. Blocked punts, missed chip shots….blocked kicks… Very few big plays to help the team but that has been characteristic of our STs since McD took over. We are very unaggressive. I don’t like our STs coach but I don’t know who would be better…. All in all, it looks like Josh might be on his own more this season than ever….though there is a chance we get hot as the rookies play more if we are lucky on the injury front…. Go Bills!
  3. yup. Especially hard on families if they only get a year out of them. I think we just started keons closet, a take one/leave one winter coat charity.
  4. Elam’s career is at the crossroads where either he is a 1st round disappointment or a late bloomer. I have to believe his personality has been preventing him from implementing the coaching. The other corners have blew by him on the depth chart and he has some injuries that complicated things further. He has shown a propensity to foul and coverage skills are pretty pedestrian. If he has any of the confidence left from his glory days in the SEC and the pride in his work ethic which made him a 1st rounder, maybe he can be a rotational piece. Sean has to take some of the heat because he has not developed Elam and if it is mental obstacles, coaches have to either overcome or say goodbye.
  5. ***** NO!!!! Why in the world would anyone want that cheater's sig?
  6. I would not get ANYONE'S autograph, because I'm an adult. I think it's cool to meet athletes and celebrities. To shake their hand, have a quick chat with them, thank them for their work, whatever. But...their signature on a piece of paper? Does nothing for me. What am I even supposed to do with it? Put it on a shelf? Walk by it and look at it admiringly and say "Burt Reynolds actually wrote on this. That's his actual hand writing!" ? To each their own. If autographs make people happy, then God bless 'em. I'm team "let people like things". But for me personally... I just don't get the appeal.
  7. Bring back George Wilson ............. he could play safety or wide receiver. Joking aside I'd love to have a young Gilmore and Dareus on defense. Gilmore was the picture of a shutdown corner for several seasons. Not so much under Rex. Dareus was great in the 4-3 with Schwartz and we saw a noticeable difference when the traded him away before we made the playoffs. I might be overly optimistic that Miller will show some return to form otherwise Schobel might get the nod over 1 of those picks.
  8. It’s a good idea. Question: Let’s say a designated person starts a thread “QOD: Will Josh Allen rely on screen passes more this year?” Nothing prevents someone else creating a thread “We should throw more screen passes this year”. Will similar threads to the QOD be deleted, merged or disregarded and left to die on the vine? Thanks. I’ll hang up and listen. Tony from Tonawanda
  9. Or....why did they draft Coleman #1, seeing he is so slow?
  10. The thread is about Uncle Clarence. If you can't keep up, drop out. Such language described by Orwell is called doublespeak. It is explained by William Lutz, author of the book “Doublespeak”, as language which “makes the bad seem good, the negative appear positive, the unpleasant appear attractive or at least tolerable. It is language that conceals or prevents thought.”
  11. ….and they will often outgrow them before the next cold season, so I guess you hope you can hand them down. . Regarding the weather, my least favorite is damp and windy around 40 degrees. That’s nasty! I’d rather have 10 degrees and snow……as long as a I have a good puffer coat!
  12. I spent a little time on the mountain Spent a little time on the hill Things went down, we don't understand But I think in time we will Now, I don't know but I was told In the heat of the sun a man died of cold Keep on coming or stand and wait With the sun so dark and the hour so late
  13. Too bad the R operatives don't agree with the MAGA's here. She being the VP candidate would add a couple percentage points to the D ticket. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4642282-noem-scott-burgum-trump-vp/ “She’s just done, too much drama,” said one Republican senator who stays in touch with Trump.
  14. But that’s the thing. With 3 other potential starting caliber players, they aren’t counting on him in any meaningful way. He’d be all upside for the roster. They could manage snaps, etc… and maximize his impact while limiting his exposure my gut is he may be a “stay in shape and we have you on speed dial” guy in case of injury
  15. These takes about Beane leaving Josh hanging in terms of the players around him are...something, I guess. Two straight drafts now they've spent their first pick in the guy Josh wanted. He wanted Kincaid last year, they jump up a couple spots and give him Kincaid. He wanted Coleman this year, they give him Coleman while being able to gain more draft capital in the process. Some of y'all are hung up on the speed thing. John Brown, Isaiah McKenzie, Deonte Harty, even tried to get a guy like Tavon Austin going again, now they have KJ Hamler to see if he can bounce back. Aside from Brown, the speedster guy hasn't really had much impact for this team. Some of y'all said they didn't give him a #1 WR. They went out and got Diggs for him. Oh, they don't have a decent enough run game to take pressure off him. They've drafted Singletary, Moss, Cook, and now Davis. Singletary was fine, Moss didn't quite work out, Cook really came on last season and if you can't get behind a guy like Ray Davis then I don't know what to tell you. It's clear that some of you are locked into your stance on this regime and no matter what they do, they're always gonna fall short of your ever changing expectations. I dunno, man, but for me, in the grand scheme of things this is still just a game. A highly entertaining game that can be a lot of fun and I know a lot of people are very passionate about their teams. Maybe I'm just an old fart but these days it's much easier for me to sit back with the wait and see approach and not get worked up about this draft pick or this trade or which guy KC got and blah blah blah. I'm guessing some of you didn't live through the drought years where there was real, actual incompetence running the show. That is not the case with this front office.
  16. oh no worries just thought I’d share extra through’s. A coats super appreciated a few weeks a year but that’s a lot of money for some families for just a few weeks.
  17. https://unherd.com/newsroom/the-strange-trajectory-of-tucker-carlsons-first-100-shows/ Genuine growth would come from working to broaden that declining base, not merely shoring it up. According to insiders, while the absence of a traditional corporate structure has granted Carlson increased autonomy, it has also eliminated a crucial layer of editorial oversight. These sources have noted a shift towards targeting a less discerning audience, emphasising sensationalism over substantive discourse in order to keep the attention of more credulous viewers — one insider notes a current “audience minus about 10-15 IQ points from the prime-time show” — interested in space aliens and Obama’s alleged gay trysts. Sounds about right.
  18. You’re not looking at this correctly. His average cap hit over that stretch is 5.25, but that makes him easily one of the top 5 cap hits overall during that period. It’s not like whomever has the highest overall hit is going to be the top hit every season, thus averaging 1. If a player had the highest cap hit in the league 3 times and the second highest hit once over a 4year period, he’d average 1.25, but he’d still have the highest overall hit.
  19. I wish these guys could come back as depth players but they can't contribute to special teams. Though, he is damn good as a returner - he shouldn't be returning.
  20. Would have taken you less time than it took to write this post and would probably be more memorable.
  21. Job one for most fans is justifying whatever their team did as the best possible action. The stark contrast between what was done and what those fans previously wanted done notwithstanding.
