  1. Past hour
  2. Amazing how not a single player wore #17 during the entire decade of the 1990s...
  3. Right when they started showing the footage of that game, my 4 year old says "Dad, maybe they'll win this time". I wish it worked that way lol.
  4. I had a brutal day at work, I'll read the cliff notes to "cheer" me up tomorrow.

  6. Bishop played 12 snaps with a bunch of backups against starters, after missing a bunch of time with injury, was clearly shaking off some rust, and we all want to write him off before he even plays a snap in his 2nd year. Ok.
  7. 2023, we enter the year with a huge question mark behind Tre White. We try and fill void by drafting a first round CB. He doesn't work out, we trade mid year for Rasul Douglas. Douglas gives us one solid year, but his physical skills all but evaporated one year later. 2024, we enter the year with a hole at WR and Safety and soon to be CB. We draft Coleman and Bishop. Coleman doesn't immediately fill the void. Bishop does nothing. We bring in Amari Cooper in a trade. Reviews are mixed as to what he brought to the team, but he's not going to be here a year later. 2025, we enter the year with a hole at CB, S, and WR. We draft a CB. For the time being it doesn't look like we will get significant reps from that player. We keep "addressing" critical issues with the draft and we have yet to see any of those issues get better. We can say, sure, give these guys more time, but the reality is our strategy has not allowed for these guys to have time. We needed the production almost right away. I would be willing to bet Beane will trade for another aged vet at the deadline in one of these positions. Perhaps we don't look at a rookie filling that spot or street free agent and we won't keep finding ourselves in that position. But at the end of the day you just can't miss on this many players. If that's how this ends up going it will be a massive failure.
  8. Sounds like some complacency settling in and McDermott tried to diplomatically approach it!
  9. Not really. Minnesota used the pick we gave them for Diggs on Jefferson. Also Diggs is getting close to a HOF resume. He had 6 straight years of 1000 yards or better. Lead the league in yards and catches one season, had over 100 catches 5 times including 4 straight years, has over 10K in yards, 70 TDs and was an All-Pro twice. Right now he is 50th in yards for a career by a receiver/TE. Not a HOFer, but a couple of good seasons could get him very close.
  10. I disagree... The Leather Canary was where they briefly encountered each other. but he Was the drummer for Chameleon Church. I have the CC lp and to be honest it pretty much sucks.
  11. If I was a team with a middling tackle situation I'd be all over RVD. We have a shockingly good inventory of OLine talent.
  12. This whole DC thing presents a good example of the intellectual bankruptcy of the MAGA movement. The claim is that the Feds are moving into DC because the crime is so bad. If one wanted to evaluate this plan, they would ask, "Is DC the most dangerous city in the US?" in order to determine if the action is justified. The answer is a clear no. Not only is DC not the most dangerous city, the violent crime rate has declined to a 30 year low. If one was willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt, they could say "well, the Feds can't deploy in other cities like they can in DC. Maybe this can prove to be the a model for supporting local law enforcement and other cities will see this and ask for assistance." If that was the case, one would expect to see the Fed deployments to focus on the areas of DC with high crime rates, patrolling the streets in dangerous neighborhoods to deter crime, allowing the local police force to focus on bringing criminals to justice. The deployment would be focused on getting criminals into custody. But the deployment has mostly ignored the dangerous areas in favor of wealthy and high profile areas like Georgetown and the Federal Mall. And they are arresting people without criminal records. Those they do arrest often face trumped up charges. A guy who throws a sandwich at a cop is arrested and charged with several crimes (Say what you will about a cop being hurt by bread, you don't throw things at cop if you don't want to be arrested), but then the feds later bring in a camera crew to record themselves breaking into his home to charge him with additional crimes, something they could have done with paperwork. They wanted the theatrics. So if they aren't going into the most dangerous cities, and they aren't focusing on people with criminal records, and they aren't patrolling high crime areas, and they are using their actions for theatrics, what the hell are they doing there? You can break the MAGA understanding of this into three buckets: The Ignorant: Most people don't follow news closely. They see the Feds are coming in to combat crime and assume that is the truth The Stupid: People who follow politics closely, know the Feds are focusing more on high visibility spaces instead of the high crime areas and somehow believe this is effective The Authoritarian: People who know this isn't about stopping crime in the traditional sense, but punishing those who they view as equal to criminals simply for disagreeing or opposing their ideology. When they say they are fighting crime, they mean fighting libs. You cannot support this action as fighting crime unless you believe not being MAGA is the equivalent to a crime.
  13. You put another QB behind that line & it might not look as good. The results don’t really matter in the preseason you hope to see plays and potential and we haven't seen much
  14. Don’t forget the “I knew we should have drafted <insert player> or signed <insert player> or not blown cap space on “insert player””. Credit that has no value
  15. Everyone is all over Shavers and Shanault. I just dont see it with either. Cain is better then both of them
  16. The Ravens outgained us 843 to 509, 45 first downs to 32, 7.59 yards per play to 4.39. Unless we force 3 turnovers it won't be a game. Those stats are what you would expect to see with a top NFL team playing a team in last place. The current line is a gift.
  17. No. Trubisky is good for an NFL backup. Hes fine. The other two are horrible. Go get a developmental young QB that can really run. And turn him into a passer. The 3rd QB should be one with a unique skill. At least 1 trait that is high level. Or else don’t bother.
  18. Teams are always looking for tackles. All year long.
  19. My god this sentence makes me realize how spoiled we were with Poyer and Hyde.
  20. Misleading Title. Please consider changing title to more appropriate and/or descriptive title such as “Bad Night/Really Bad Night - Pre-season Game 2”
  21. Like what? The "severe consequences" that haven't materialized? That's the best you have? No exoneration. Legally sufficient evidence of an obstruction crime. But Trump appointee Bill Barr killing it after reading the report for a few minutes. And you invent some nonsense to explain it away.
  22. great re-cap of our defensive mess.
  23. thanks for the intel. I miss the old days of DTV. I haven’t signed up yet for the renewal, and might try to go your route and save a few bucks.
  24. That's a good one but seriously is McDermott just not connecting with the young guys like he used to? These guys make that NIL money now and maybe don't react the same as they did 5 years ago
  25. I don’t think Josh had great chemistry with him. so many of Josh’s negative plays were Gabe.
  26. I remember when he was booming punts with the Titans, I thought he was still there. Dude made the all rookie team and was a 2nd team All Pro. Lead the league in punting. I don’t know why he wasn’t tendered by TEN and how he wound up losing the punting battle in MIA. On the surface I would’ve said he’s much better than Robbins, but there has to be a reason why he’s already looking for his 3rd team.
