Not as bad as Palmer looked walking into the stadium last week and somehow he’s potentially playing this week. Seems minor, but given his importance, I’d be suprised if he plays given he’s clearly got a hitch in his step on a Friday. Quote

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago If he can go, play him, we want this game, it would help to get this Dub going forward. We lose, we're out of it for division and the seeds have less relevancy. Plenty of time tor rest after this week. I may be crazy, but I'm not willing to sacrifice the division or momentum yet. Get the W and we need to him to get it!!!!! 1 Quote

Obviously, this is just speculation on my part. As the media only sees the opening walkthroughs and no one knows what a McDermott in season practice looks like, besides the people there. But the thought popped in to my head the Wednesday following Week 1. Ed Oliver was doing a presser that day and he was asked about the difficulties of putting the pads on Wednesday following a grueling Monday Night Football game. He said something along the lines of 'we killed each other for 60+ minutes on a Monday night and we're here on a Wednesday morning going full go. But that's just what we do' (or something like that). Ironically, that was the practice he hurt his foot in. Again, no clue if it's true or not. But we've replaced strength and conditioning staffs at least once (maybe twice, I can't really recall). The results remain the same. And the number of injuries we incur outside of games seems to be more than others. The only thing I can think of is maybe McDermott goes full contact too much in the middle of the week. Oliver was stepped on by a teammate and Benford seems to be a soft tissue injury. Both can easily happen with or without pads. I think the main issue is that guys just aren't playing enough football. Not that they need more games or need my physical practices. But these guys are barely in the facility. They could/should be running routes vs air, working on sleds, etc. much more than they currently do in the offseason. 1 Quote

Allen2Moulds Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I don't think he plays this week, based off of how he looks. He's walking with a very slight hitch, and there's just not enough recovery time. But it does hopefully seem minor enough, that he only misses this week. 1 Quote
KOKBILLS Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago You know...whatever... The guy is pretty clearly playing his best football and then...bam...practice injury...welcome to the 2025 Buffalo Bills season... Heavy sigh... Quote
atlbillsfan1975 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago With the news that the Pats best receiver( Diggs)plays out of the slot 70% of the time, this might now be as big an injury for this week. Benford would have erased Hollins or Boutte. Oh well, out score them and don’t let them put on the hats or shirts this week. 1 Quote

They should do two-a-days in full pads, the softies! When I played JV football the coach wouldn't let us drink water during practice. Quote

But I do firmly believe that they need to be in facility more. If you were trying to win the Olympics in rowing, or running, or swimming, you wouldn't spend 7 months cross training, a 1 month sport specific camp, and then4 months competing. You would row, run, or swim most days. Again, that doesn't mean every day is 1000 miles at full beans. Quote

Well, if he doesn’t play, but we win, I’ll agree we can live without him and save the for the Iggles game. Well lose and we’ll need him for Cleveland. He’ll definitely rest for the jests game. It doesn’t sound severe. Tell Josh to warm up his cape and put it on and just outscore the Cheats. We may not have the best WRs, but we have running backs and TEs who can do more than block, but be receiving threats. We’re better with Cooks, Palmer maybe in a week or two, Davis, Shakir and even Shavers out there. As long as 00 rides the pine. I never want to see that guy on the field. 10 minutes ago, Dan Darragh said: They should do two-a-days in full pads, the softies! Back then NFL players had side jobs in the off season, and avg. at 50-60lbs less and a lot slower. The way of the world brother. It keeps spinning along. Quote
