Ya Digg? Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 8 minutes ago, boyst said: I've been on the fence about this as well. Do I want to face this reality? Does Coleman? Is he mature enough to realize the importance of his game today? What can he do? Athletically he is limited and we already know Josh can make chemistry with him but will it be natural? Will Coleman put his mind to it? Is there a leader on the team who's not creampuff wordy words like Dawkins who can hold him accountable? Do we have a Hollins, Hughes, Diggs, or Lee Smith or Hyde? Maybe Poyer will get the chance to realize his leadership role as we hit the homestretch. Ty Johnson is the unsung leader of the offense (no kidding) if people did not know. Will Johnson be able to speak to him and get him up? I honestly have no idea what you mean with this statement-can you explain it? Quote

TheFunPolice Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If the Steelers block a punt and the broadcast zooms in on their special teams coach chomping his chewing gum like a psycho the game might be tight for a bit Otherwise this will be a blowout. Think Tampa game but the other team cannot score points in offense. 2 1 Quote

The problem is that a core group of people treat his opinions (and that's all they are...his opinions) as the gospel truth. People really no longer have the ability or desire to think for themselves on a large scale these days. He spoon feeds them their opinions. How many replies on this very forum start out with the phrase "Well, Joe Marino says..." like that's some kind of end all to the argument. Marino makes a lot of valid statements and opinions. He also offers up clunkers. He states the exact same things we see and read here. Joe Marino at least bases his opinions on film study. That doesn't make him automatically right about everything but his takes have some evidence behind them. Compare that to some hot take dealer broadcasting from Mom's basement. They get clicks because they feed into people's rage after a loss. 1 Quote

I also love Pat Moran on talking Buffalo to get a more emotional fan based take. What I think Joe does very well is understanding a team’s weaknesses and how to attack them. He was dead right about how to attack the Atlanta D and what to expect, while Brady did the exact opposite and got destroyed. Same with Houston. He was banging the drum about Houston’s defensive ends and the need to keep running the ball to keep them from teeing off, and again Brady did the exact opposite. He’s not a savant, he gets a lot wrong, but he’s pretty straight forward in how he justifies his opinions. You can agree or disagree but you’ll know the why. I think Joe is getting salty because he doesn’t understand why Brady develops the game plans he does because they don’t attack an opponents weaknesses. For pure post-game enjoyment listen to Pat Moran and Joe from Queens after a game. It’s a fun rant when we lose and cathartic. Pat will come back the next day with a more measured take about what he felt went right or wrong, but the post game when he’s losing his sht after a loss is all of us. Got to agree on Joe. He is definitely a fan and I feel his fuse is a lot longer than most fans. He takes a pragmatic approach to his analysis and defends his stances with statistics. I don’t always agree with what he says but I appreciate the way he deliveries his opinion. The fact Joe has been as critical as he has been about Brady says a lot for me. Joe will usually try to defend a Bills player or coach after reviewing the All 22, it has been hard for him to do that this year after games like ATL and Houston. Joe threads the needle of giving me just enough depth without the overkill. Cover One guys are great if you want to know coverages and have time to watch film breakdown with them. For today Joe predicts some heavy chipping by TE’s, not really rocket surgery, but let’s see if Brady does it. Also calls for Cook to run a lot and not get away from it even if the Bills fall behind early. On D Joe points out how atrocious the pressure has been the last 3 weeks and hopes to see an increase this week. Edited 41 minutes ago by atlbillsfan1975 Quote
zow2 Posted 42 minutes ago Posted 42 minutes ago They are mentioning some of Aaron Rodgers wrist limitations on the pregame shows. Can the Bills take advantage of this stuff? We shall see. 1 Quote

frostbitmic Posted 27 minutes ago Posted 27 minutes ago With ancient Aaron's broken left wrist, and the always questionable Bills run Defense, expect the Steelers to run and run and run some more today. Of course if today becomes a running day, I'll take Cook over whoever they have, even with our Defense. Quote

Lee Smith was on this team because he was a leader. He was a process guy that bought into McDermotts method 100%. It's a big reason he was brought back mid season. Hollins would lead by energy and words, diggs woild, too. Hughes was a leader of this team and would do like Diggs - approach the offense and defense to push them. Hyde was also this and a reason he was brought back last year to the PS. McDermott has not been good at developing leaders on this team. 1 Quote

Brown a few years back almost got fired by McB for a minor player availability issue. So they are going to sing the same tune. Joe and others in the media can be objective. Quote

His OLine doesn't do him a lot of favors but as bad as we've been in the front 7, he's a concern today. 1 Quote
UKBillFan Posted 9 minutes ago Posted 9 minutes ago I have little faith today. With the injuries, and general poor play even with the starters, this feels like a defeat. And it's not today and the Texans which will cost the Bills this season - those defeats to the Falcons and the Dolphins still loom large. They should be 9-2 at least. 7-4 leaves no room to manouver with a tough end of the season to come. Quote
