For whatever reason it is a home/road issue. Bills are 5-1 at home and 2-3 on the road with the only two wins being over Justin Fields and Andy Dalton. They convert 50% of third downs at home, 36.4% on the road. Bills score a touchdown on 72% (4th) of red zone trips at home and 46% (t-25th) on the road. They average 32.5 ppg at home and 23.2 on the road. I could go on.

So this will likely be a tougher game than it should and the Bengals game will be a shootout but has a very good chance of going our way.

Winning on the road is one of the first indicators of a contender. The Bills struggles on the road are a result of their fall back to the pack in terms of talent. Mistakes and lack of attention to detail creep in. This version of the Bills may get into the playoffs, but they’ll be cannon fodder for the home team.

While I agree we lack in talent in many areas, I think it is mostly a coaching issue this year. Our defense is actually giving up fewer points on the road than at home, but they don’t seem prepared to make stops early in the game. Often they clamp down on the second half (falcons, Texans) but at that point our offense is playing catch up which has been very bad for us.

on the offense, we are actually a much better running team on the road than at home. Cook is averaging 5.7 yards per carry (that is excluding the Panthers game which if included jumps the average to 6.9 per game). But we are panicking to catch up and not running enough on the road. Against teams like the Falcons and Texans, if we leaned harder into the run game, I think we would have won those games.

If we had better players, we could out talent our way through the poor coaching. But this year, we have enough if the team is prepared and executes but this has been the worst coaching regular season I can remember. I’m not sure it’s changing after 13 weeks, but if they get things together we won’t be an easy out even with our weaknesses. But after 12 weeks of this, I agree your prediction is most likely

The Bills did get a couple extra days to prepare...But they are going to be dealing with a massive disadvantage with these personnel changes all over the roster, and especially on the offensive line on the road... It's an awful lot to ask tbh... I'm less than confident. But we do have the Josh/Cook factor that can change anything if either gets hot... B-)

they can overcome the injuries on offense if Brady trots out a semblance of a game plan  Abandoning the run and expecting Josh to drop back with the same simple concepts and create plays on his own is not a game plan.  Brady's had all week to install a rb screen game run draws quick slants curls to slow down the Steelers pass rush  Their back end is crap but you got to keep Josh upright  On defense maybe they actually practiced tackling this week

The team reeks of hubris. We can’t make a simple game plan and expect our guys to win. It’s not happening, the playbook is so limited we can’t audible a tight end to pass block or chip?

the ego of this team is mind numbing

Massare making excuses before the game is even played is disgusting. I'm sorry, we are told all the time how deep this roster is. We are told all the time how excellent this team is constructed. Other teams win while missing starting players every week. I don't wanna hear it. Do what's need to win.

Such an unhealthy season.  But I'll say it again - the only guy we're missing for the WHOLE year at this point is Hoecht (and maybe Rapp, though I think we're better at safety even w/ him out).

If there is anything to "odds," we won't sustain many more serious injuries the rest of the way - and we'll continue to get guys back.

We just have to find a way.  Win however we can the next few weeks, and try to roar into the postseason healthier than we are right now, w/ hopefully Big Ed back for game 1 of the playoffs.

I have a suspiciously positive vibe about this game. Maybe I have an inflated sense of what this team has been hanging over my head but vs Old man Rogers, Scaredy cat Tomlin and an aging Pitt defense which is more about pedigree and history than modern performance, I feel like we get our swagger back this weekend (even if just for a game)

But we have not lost a road game since Brandin Cooks has been signed.

We deserve to get stomped the rest of the way and likely will.

I’d like to get payback for that game at Rich on a cold, wet, windy day when the Steelers played their B team and Willie Parker ran roughshod over us, which knocked us out of the playoffs.  I was there with my sons and it was the most miserable day.

Im pretty down on them but a team that has a playoff pedigree, led by Josh Allen, is not “cannon fodder” in this dumpster fire of a conference.

Pretty sure I’m alone on this one, but I’ve said before… I’d trade him in the offseason.

Really good player, but can’t stay healthy.  I’m confident a new OC won’t only play him 30-40% of snaps, but he can’t even stay healthy with a crazy low workload for a player of his ability.

Hes the one asset we have that could bring back anything of worth and I’d pull the trigger and re-orient this offense to a WR-centric passing attack.  Knox, on a restructured contract & Hawes are completely fine for the next few years.

And when I started banging the drum after we picked him ( and before) saying we don't need a luxury TE I was scorned.

We didn't need a luxury TE; we don't have one now either. He doesn't play.

We needed to take a chance on WR or LB. Or even CB. I liked Joey Porter and Nolan Smith. Smith at LB would have been great to have with the durability of Milano and the unknown of Bernard back in 2023. Porter would have been a fine pick for trading back. Trading up? I wasn't in love with Zay Flowers but he reminded me of Mike Evans with his prowess. Even Jordan Addison was getable.

Nah we traded up for a luxury pick that rivaled willis mcgahee
