All_Pro_Bills Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) Should have kept quiet for sure. But just watching games as a fan you can pick up tells with thing like some teams and players if it's a run or pass by how the tackles line up. If they're close up to the LOS it's a run or a step back it's a pass. Edited 10 hours ago by All_Pro_Bills Quote

RunTheBall Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago This will be made into a big deal but it’s a nothing burger. Max was velcroed to Worthy because he’s just as fast and Worthy is a 1 trick pony. All Worthy has is speed, and all you guys on here saying we should have picked him are hilarious. He’s a gadget guy at best who got erased by a rookie who could match his speed because he doesn’t have any route running ability. I’d have taken Lad over Keon btw, I’d never have taken Worthy. I hope we don’t see the Chiefs in the playoffs because I’m not convinced we can out coach them twice in one year. It won’t be because Max ran his mouth. 1 Quote
eSJayDee Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Or maybe he's lying & there is no tell. He just wants KC to needlessly spend extra time w/ self-scouting as well as to get into Worthy's head, making him overthink. 2 Quote

thewookie1 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Yeah, bad move on the rookie's part or theoretically he could be purely creating something to cause the Chiefs to scour for non-existent tells and put Worthy's mind in a mixer trying to avoid any tells. Quote
Sierra Foothills Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago So not only is Hairston undersized and injury-prone, he's also stupid? 1 Quote
The Wiz Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) And Bishop did the same thing when talking about his "back of his helmet" pass break up. Edited 7 hours ago by The Wiz 1 Quote
Not at the table Karlos Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago There was a run play or two where worthy ran routes and Max went right with him with out a second look at the RB getting the ball. Quote
Bad Things Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) The final quote in the post says, “There are tells that everybody gives. It’s just about finding it.” He's saying that everybody has their own "tell", so blabbing about finding Worthy's isn't a big deal because it is still up to the other teams to find it themselves. I can't believe it's been suggested in this thread that he should be benched because of this. FFS, it's like a Mensa gathering in here. Edited 5 hours ago by Bad Things 1 1 1 Quote

I don’t think you need a Mensa membership to recognize that making tells public is a bad idea. He did something in the obviously bad idea category. Obviously bad, to anyone. I’d have to know him to understand why it wasn’t obvious to him, or, of it were, why he did it anyway. My human nature guess? Exuberance and the desire to be recognized for savvy and cleverness. You don’t have to be taught that publicizing a tell is a bad idea. You figure that out, yourself. Despite that reasonable expectation, you’re taught it’s a bad idea just in case you don’t figure it out on your own. Hairston flunked at two levels. BTW, most insightful post here points out that if Hairston knows, Andy Reid’s team knows. Edited 3 hours ago by Neo Quote
GunnerBill Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Total non-story. I said the same the other week when people were worried about New England players saying they knew what plays the Bills were running. If you mine post-match pressers and locker room interviews every week around the league these sorts of quotes are ten a penny. Every defensive player says it "I saw it on film study", or "I read the body language" etc etc. Non-issue, non-story. 1 2 Quote

harryS Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This thread reminded me of Andre Agassi telling Boris Becker post-retirement his tell 1 1 Quote
BRH Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Now he’s in the guy’s head. Next time they line up Worthy will be thinking about it all game, and he’ll do something else to give away the play. Worthy’s also going to watch the film and see how Max was step-for-step with him on that go route. THAT will be in his head too. Quote
