buffaloboyinATL Posted yesterday at 01:06 PM Posted yesterday at 01:06 PM Hopefully Ed develops crazy Wolverine like healing powers, like JJ Watt. Didn't he come back from a torn bicep is something ridiculous, like 6 weeks, when he was with the Texans? Quote
SCBills Posted yesterday at 01:18 PM Posted yesterday at 01:18 PM If Ed Oliver can make it back for the Playoffs, which WC/Divisional Round would be the timeline if he has surgery this week.. that’s a huge get for the Postseason. Obviously the worry is how effective will he be if/when he gets back. Quote

Andrew Son Posted yesterday at 01:47 PM Posted yesterday at 01:47 PM Ed seems to wear down throughout the year. Makes sense considering his size and position. IF he is able to return this may be a blessing. He could be fresh for the postseason. 1 1 Quote

Didn't he come back from a torn bicep is something ridiculous, like 6 weeks, when he was with the Texans? JJ Watt is a freak of nature. I remember one year Hard Knocks did the Falcons and they played the JJ Watt Texans and the Falcons had a rookie RT get burnt by Watt in the pre-season and the other veteran linemen had to tell the rookie don't get too down on yourself no one else is like JJ Watt. Basically that even for the NFL where everyone is a freak this guy is a freak among freaks. That being said not all tears are the same from what I am reading. Not all tears are the same. Some tears need less time to come back. Hoping for the best for Ed Oliver as he's so critical to this defense. Hoping that if it is a tear he can maybe come back late December early January (which would be about 10 weeks) and play a warm up 10-12 snaps game in the regular season and be ready for the playoffs. 1 Quote

Yeah sure - because it only took like 5 weeks to get back on the field after somebody stepped on his foot and his little piggy went wee wee wee all the way home. Due to age and attrition the Bills appear to be fielding one of their weaker defensive rosters in the past few years, and now we'll be missing one of the anchors of the D line. Can't catch a break. It seems realistic he could be back for a playoff run - and that's when we'll really need him. Quote
