It depends... Bryce is streaky... And so is their O-Line... If the Bills can somehow limit their running game that will go a long way... Though I do think Dalton has an advantage over Bryce when pressured. Bryce just has these games where it seems like he gets rattled and even though he's a decent athlete he just sees the rush and turtles. I watch a lot of Panthers down here and they are my Nephews favorite team so I hear about them constantly. I know from OG to OG they are much better in the run game then they are in pass pro... They are a weird team. They can look terrible at times, and they can look really solid.

The All-hindsight draft would have been filthy good if Beane never traded up, picked S Emmanwori in the first, CB Trey Amos and whoever else you wanted in the 2nd, DT Deone Walker in the third, and WR Tory Horton in the 4th.

I believe in the very beginning he would have no running what so ever but at some point I would think the medical staff would have to have him on a leg or stair master type machines and doing some kind of light running drills to make a determination that he was ready to come back . 

 

But I only play a doctor on TV so I wouldn't know for sure 🤣 .

Can also do things in water - and can work cardio using arms on some equipment.

 

Not saying this makes you full body game ready - but relative to cardio there's lots of things that can be done, and assume he's been doing as much as possible for as long as possible

I think mostly they're gonna be VERY careful with that knee, because once you weaken the ligaments, you're more susceptible to an ACL tear. They're going to want that thing at full strength before letting him go at NFL game speed/intensity

My plan for him to int mahomes on the final play of the divisional or championship game is coming to fruition. He’ll be on the field by week 10 at the latest, take a few lumps, find his feet by week 17, ball out in the playoffs and take a Kermit pick back for a TD to send KC home.

Please Max, come back and come back strong. The thing is if you don't, when May/2026 rolls around McDermott will clap his way into another first round corner tp play in his zone defense. He might do this either way, but please do come back and at least lower the odds.

the biggest hindsight pick was that the chiefs moved up and got mcduffie who the bills def wanted

This is why hopefully while he's been out he has been in the playbook, watching film, dedicating himself to his craft. 

 

I remember Josh's rookie year when he got banged up and missed a few games. He looked like a much sharper player when he got back and said the extra time off the field helped him. Hopefully, that plays out here as well

I agree with this. Im guessing he has been in meetings and watching film etc. It's not like he's rehabbing off site.

If we wanted him so much why didn't we trade up to get him? Also as good as McDuffie been in the slot would he have had playing time here behind Taron?

Because Reid and Mahomes would abuse him.  This guy hasn't even played a pre-season game.  His first action should not come against the best play caller in NFL history and the second best QB in the NFL.

Dolphins the following week would be perfect. Half the stadium will be empty and the other half will be Bills fans. Waddle will be on the Bills roster and Tua will have no targets.

Considering Poy and Micah gone and how bad Bishop looked last year, Emmanwori seemed like a no brainer.

I don’t agree.  Everything will be easier for him after that.   If he’s too weak mentally where having a bad game will ruin his career- it would be good to find that out sooner rather than later, because he will never pan out. 
 

In his place, Tre will be abused and we’ll likely get smoked.  If healthy, I have no doubt that playing him vs KC will only help him going forward.  Especially if we play them in the playoffs.

I would not expect Max to be thrust into a starting role early here.  They will more likely bring him along slow like they have in the past.  Don't get me wrong, I would personally start him no later than the KC game where KC has 3 WR's that run a sub 4.4 forty.  Even if he struggles, let him get his feet wet against a team we most certainly will need to go through in the AFC playoffs.  But, my expectation is that Max won't start for a while, and would not even surprise me if he didn't start all year. 

 

Hope I am wrong, but its just what we have done in the past.

Considering how we have zero speed at corner and that Tre’davious, Dane and Ingram were battling for the starter position, Hairston seemed like a no brainer…. Unless you just hate the FO and bash picks that make a lot of sense just to bash them.

I agree. I am definitely an advocate for him starting asap though.  I just don’t think McD will start him unless Tre continues to be terrible (which is certainly possible)

Well, it can't be much worse than what's on the field today.

 

I think they were extremely conservative with his recovery, and probably planned to keep him out through the bye week regardless of how ready he was. I am confident that his knee is doing well, that he has learned the playbook inside and out, and that he has watched months worth of tape. He's a smart kid and I think he'll be OK within a couple of games.
