Yes, injuries are hurting us badly tonight, but our rebuild on defense with draft picks and free agents is paying zero dividends right now.  With Palmer out, it is obvious we can't count on Coleman for anything.  He is getting zero separation.

What a terrible coach Babich turned out to be. Worst defensive coach in NFL history. McDermott had a better defense splitting duties a few years ago. Frazier never rushed the passer and had a historically great defense and we ran him out of town.

Really doesn’t look like the ball ever hits the turf though even after the knee…it was on his forearm

Have to score on this drive or it will be ugly.  Sal said palmer is questionable to return so that probably means he is out.

 

They still have allen, cook, shakir and knox.  They just need to make this the cook show.  throw it to him and hand it to him.  

 

They can grab all the momentum back with a nice long drive  and a score to start the third quarter.

Probably not a popular take, but I feel like only one head should be in question, and that's the guy that has consistently drafted and constructed a team of "good enough to start in the nfl" players around a generational talent at QB.

I disagree.  McD is involved.  But this is Beane and his scouting staff.  Pro scouts and College scouts.  They're feeding info to the leadership team for critical decisions.

 

McD and his staff have nothing to do with scouting.

 

Our biggest issue is a widening talent gap.  We made investments on defense that appear horrible right now.

 

McD is certainly part of the decision making process, but hes not making unilateral decisions with Beane.  Alot of this is fed from scouting issues at both levels.

 

The talent evaluation has been bad, but so has the investment strategy and I lay that equally on McDermott and Beane. McDermott steers the organization's priorities. I don't believe for a second the lopsided investment towards defense happens if for example Kyle Shanahan is our coach. They both need to go.

This is as angry as I have been at a Bills game/season in a LONG time. It’s like watching a car crash. We can see what the issues will be yet we play right into it. Don’t help Josh. Don’t blitz. Leave trash DBs on an island and have trash WRs blanketed. Failure by Beane and McDermott
