I would love a Jefferson, Chase, G. Wilson, Cee-Dee on the Bills but we just don't have one. I think the only hope for something comparable to that with our cap situation is to hit on a draft picks, but that requires some draft capital to be spent on that position. Quote
BillzFreak Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Everybody eats but we don't have that guy who wants that last slice of pizza. Instead we have guys who go, there's one more slice anyone want it. No one is showing josh they want to be that guy he looks to when a play needs to be made. I'm not even talking about the talent of the position I'm talking about the mentality of it. You saw Diggs wanted that ball he needed that ball. Maye saw that and looked his way every time even if he happened to be covered. Quote
Captain Caveman Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Yeah It's unforgivable to me that we can't find one WR that can get separation (or is it coaching? I don't know) Gonna leave this here - I also find it SO frustrating when Allen will not hit an open guy over the middle 8-15 yards downfield while looking for something deep. Hitting those 10-15 yarders consistently will help open things up downfield, and we should be hitting them like clockwork. 1 Quote

Ethan in Cleveland Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The Pats won targetting a slot WR 150 times a year and a TE 120. Shakir and Kincaid are being grossly underutilized. Quote
DapperCam Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I think it’s telling that Allen was scrambling around last night for 6+ seconds and nobody was open. When he was throwing downfield during the scramble drill it was to a covered guy. Even Gabe Davis could get open given that much time. Allen can’t win with these cats. Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Just to be clear, no one thinks that Gabe Davis solves the Bills glaring need at WR. What some of us think, is that Gabe can get down the field and make some big plays. Josh always looked for Gabe when the play broke down and he rolled out. These 2 things Gabe does better than anyone currently on the roster. This is more of an indictment on that WR room than it is praise for Gabe. 2 3 Quote
Bruffalo Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Yeah that's what we need: more interceptions. Edited 2 hours ago by Bruffalo Quote
Sweats Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The teams been exposed.........neutralize Allen, Cook and Kincaid and our O is stagnant. Run heavy against us, don't get any pressure on opposing QB's and let your WR's find the soft spot. It's the same ole shite every season. 2 Quote

This is and has been an ongoing issue for years. I was hoping Palmer would help but its obvious he cant separate either. I dont like the Flea Flicker call but I understand Bradys need to manufacture separation for the receivers. Brandon Beane said we don’t need a WR Quote

Well, I really liked this DIGGS guy- whoever he is, who caught balls on the ground…sliding… waaay down the field! As in, somebody the Bills absolutely lack in their sub 30 NFL WR Ratings! Quote
dorquemada Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 1 hour ago, FireChans said: I fear it may be Gabe time. The WRs are largely ass. Curtis Samuel is gadgety, and Shakir is still great with a hair of space, but nobody and I mean nobody can separate or give some fear deep. I’m not sure what Tyrell Shavers does outside of wearing Diggs’ number and getting a significant amount of cardio. The Pats pressed all night. This was basically the 2024 Ravens defensive gameplan. They dared us to throw all over them. We could not. Some folks say we need to trade for a WR. That would be nice. But the answer may be on our bench right now. We need some guy to run a go or skinny post and be a bit dangerous. Can Gabe still do that? Watching Diggs make that sideline grab last night made me wistful for Gabe. I know all the criticisms but if our #2 guy is struggling to get to 50% and is struggling to hang onto the ball. We have no downfield threat, and no downfield passing game. We've taken a generational talent and turned him into captain checkdown. Quote
TheFunPolice Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I always thought wrestling commentators shouldn't know the finishes or storylines going in. Just call the match and genuinely be shocked at whatever happens. There have been times here and there where that was the case, but mostly because of last minute changes. As far as Gabe goes: hopefully we get the unstoppable version. Edited 1 hour ago by TheFunPolice Quote

That's one way Bray and the Pats* kept winning against the Bills and other teams. He would just keep throwing 3 to 5 yard passes. Two to three of those and you have a first down, and killed some clock. Quote
