As many of you know that follow my comments here, I have been virtually insufferable about asking Brady to run more play action over the years.  He has increased that usage a bit this year which is great, but I still want more.  Alen is just so god at it.  It works 90%+ of the time it seems.  No reason not to use it even more than we are so far.  But I do appreciate Brady finally using it more this year.

Maybe he's waiting to spring it on the Chiefs late in the fourth quarter of the Bills' inevitable playoff game against them. Surprise them for a change.

Not sure if anyone else posted this, but one of the better Allen interviews confirming the growth we have seen in him.

Why is this game important?..

If the Bills win, especially convincingly, they probably cuise to the AFC East title again, and are the favorites for the #1 seed and 1st round bye.

If they lose, they would only have a 1 game lead over the Pats(who would then have the tie-breaker) and probably be nipping at their heels the rest of the season.

Because of all of the above, I would fully expect an all out playoff type effort by the coaching staff, Allen, and the rest of the team Sunday night..they know how important this game is, too.

Sucks about Dorian Strong, I wonder if the neck injury is a season ender. Our CB depth is suddenly very thin. Who is even the 4th guy in after Ingram, Cam Lewis I guess?

Two DTs elevated makes me nervous that both Oliver and Sanders will miss the game.

Another year with certain position groups on defense getting hit with multiple injuries. Just crazy.

We need to trade for 2 CBs and 2 Safeties.

Why didn’t they just IR Oliver?

Eligible after the 6th game...so after the bye.

Both of them? I thought it was a 4 game suspension. That sucks

Excited for ciarlo, hope he gets some snaps. Gonna be ugly on defense again tomorrow night huh

Must be healing slower than they hoped. On the short clips I've seen from practice this week he doesn't look entirely comfortable after drills.

That really sucks about Strong! With Hairston and Strong out for probably the next month at minimum, our Secondary is super thin.

Assuming with Logue and Ciarlo playing, that means no Oliver. With Dorian out and Milano not 100%, that means in Shaq and Bernard with a significant drop off behind them.

It’s so frustrating how many assets we continue to spend on the D, with minimal impact players and constant injuries.

If they can get the W against the Patriots, the game against ATL is looking more and more difficult.

Ciarlo just feels like that kind of guy that surprises everyone and becomes an NFL star. Separately, Bills really probably are better off if they dont give up 80 yards rushing to Maye.

Bills defense is gonna make Maye look like mvp tomorrow. At least the offense is in tact

Hopefully the Bills O can light up the scoreboard taking pressure off the D!

Interesting they signed Ciarlo and not Logue.  Logue's out of call ups after this point.

If Oliver was IR’d, he wouldn’t be allowed to practice this week even though he’s physically ready for practice.  Most players do need practice to get back to game shape.

Dude.  This is a little much.  You're just outright ignoring what actually happened in favor of padding your points.
The Bills did not take the 2nd half kickoff.  The Saints did.

You don't remember that?  Why?  Because the Bills D forced a 3 and out and they punted.  That's why.

Factually, the Bills allowed 5 of 13 1st down conversions by the Saints.  That's 38%, and while it's not fantastic, it's not craptastic either.

My bad on the 2nd half KO. But my point remains valid - the Bills allowed multiple 3rd down conversions on the Saint's first possession enabling them to match the Bills opening drive TD.  That was an important early game momentum changer.  Then after the D got a 3 & out on the Saints opening 2nd half drive, again my bad, the Bills drove it in for a TD and a 21 - 10 lead.  Another 3 & out or even a forced punt after a 1st down or 2 and the game likely turns into a blowout.  Instead the saints drive for a TD cutting the Bills led to 21 - 16 and again momentum is lost.

Quote all the stats you want but my eyes tell me that all to often at critical points in a game the Bills D allows to many 3rd down conversions and scoring drives.  This is a real problem IMO and it's been a problem for the last couple of years.
