Commentators have been making all sorts of excuses for Mahomes this year. He just has been off on a lot of his ball placement this year.

I think Mahomes has lost a little off his fastball…the velocity on his throws doesn’t seem the same, and it looks like he’s having to put maximum effort into every throw.

Lamar holds the ball too long

I have sort of come around on Lamar.

i actually think he holds the ball a long time because he can get away with it. I actually think he could be a quick release passer if they wanted him to be one.

He does that one thing really really well. KC is the polar opposite of our offense. They can't run the ball but they can hit deep throws.

It was a perfect pass.  Have to admit Mahomes most times is better at that than most QBs.

I like Humphrey continuing to give it to Mahomes out of bounds. If he wants to play bully ball on the sideline as he's done a few times this season, play it with him.

It’s amazing how many DB’s pull up when Mahomes runs. Tackle him hard!

His throws have been off the mark this season and there is not much heat on them, but he dropped one into the bucket for Worthy. Then again with Worthy on a clean release with his speed he just has to get enough air under it and be somewhat close on the throw and let the kid run to the ball if Baltimore is leaving their DB on an island.

For a guy that has that wierd waddling walk, I have always been surprised at how slippery Mahomes is to bring down. His scrambling is probably where he is most dangerous - at least so far this season.

KC would pry rather have that running game.
