The NFL better get this addressed before we play them. And better not wait until after the Eagles beat us in the playoffs (Super Bowl) to fix it like they've historically done. I don't get why the bills dont run that same thing. The eagles make it look automatic vs the chiefs compared to what the bills did. They'd have been playing in the SB instead Quote

Everyone else, it's going to be a battle for them. Quote

But Rice is coming off a knee, will he look like he did pre injury? Bigger issues for them IMO, are the OL and Kelce isnt playing like his usual self. The right side of that OL, especially Taylor, is horrendous. Kelce dropped a sure TD, that turned into an INT --- when's that happened in the past? Last week, he ran his crossing route at the goal line incorrectly too. If Rice comes back like he was pre injury, that will help them immensely. But other issues linger that might not be fixable until next yr. I agree, people keep saying KC offense will be better when Rice and Worthy return, probably, because their offense right now is all Mahomes. Rice and Worthy can’t play OL or RB. Kelce is not what he was. 1 Quote

This is a different Raiders team but Maxx Crosby means Mahomes is in for a long day. He makes it a point to touch Mahomes and get in his ear on every play. We will see, but that division looks to be getting more competitive while ours may be the worst in football. Quote

They dropped a game to Denver each of the last two years. Two years ago they list to Denver AND Oakland and they still won the SB. We'll see if the Chargers are for real. I have a ton of respect for Harbaugh and wouldn't be surprised for them to go on a nice run, but their roster has so many holes. They could win the division, but I don't see them as a threat int he playoffs. 1 hour ago, Low Positive said: People here treat the playoffs as a given. They're not. It's like everyone has collective amnesia about both the 2021 and 2023 seasons. In both cases, the Bills were out of a playoff spot in Early December and had to win out. And they almost didn't in both cases. Remember Matt Ryan's collapse at the end of that snow game in 2021? And in 2023, we were one Kadarius Toney offensive Offside penalty from missing the playoffs. Every game matters. The playoffs are the floor of expectations. When you're a top 3 team int he conference, playoffs really should be a given unless something really went off the rails. We could have multiple season ending injuries to key players, and assuming Allen was healthy, iw ould absolutely EXPECT playoffs at a minimum and wouldn't take excuses if they didn't get there. Winning 10/17 games shouldn't be seen as a hard thing to do when you get to play the Patriots/Dolphins/Jets 2x a year. Quote
L Ron Burgundy Posted September 15 Posted September 15 They are going to be fine (unfortunately). Barely lost, against 2 good teams. They coulda beat Philly if Kelce catches a ball that was maybe thrown a quarter second early. Not saying they definitely win if that's a td but good chance. We're only 2 games in. Quote
BillytheKid Posted September 15 Posted September 15 I told everyone that the Chiefs won’t make the playoffs this year. Made a whole post about it 2 months ago and people were laughing. I gave you the reasons why. They definitely aren’t coming back to make the playoffs. Yeah we are only going into week 3 but again like I said before the Chiefs have too many things going against them historically. They are done this year. They will have to try again next year. Watch and see. I’ll be pulling up my post when they are completely eliminated from the playoffs to say I told you so. You can refresh your memories on everything I showed they had going against them historically. History repeats itself a lot. KC had too many things to overcome. 3 Quote

At least one Eagle lineman blasting forward on every play before the ball moves. Talking to a coworker today, he had a very good idea. Not sure if it was his, or he heard it somewhere. The idea is for a defensive lineman fake an injury on every Tush Push play. Get the injury stats up because there are some that say that injuries piling up is the only sure way to get the rule changed. One thing I've noticed is the actual push seems to mean less now - it's more about the OL getting the jump and diving low and creating the wedge. I think if they outlawed the "push" it wouldn't necessarily stop a team like Philly who has perfected the OL wedge technique and has a powerful person running the ball Quote
benderbender Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Fascinating how only after the Swifties/KC fanboys are upset does the “legitimate” concern for the tush push get popular with the talking heads. Quote
BuffaloBaumer Posted September 15 Posted September 15 They will probably be 4-4 when they play the Bills. They were one play away from most likely beating the Eagles yesterday. KC is far from done. 1 Quote

quincy Posted September 15 Posted September 15 On offense I would think their philosophy will eventually change from dink and dunk to vertical. Yesterday they were going to deep to Thornton and eventually connected for a long touchdown on the third attempt. When all WR are healthy and available - Rice, Worthy, Brown, Thornton plus Kelce - bombs away especially if there is no ground game. A lot of speed and the Tyreek idea being floated. It would not be shocking to me if they are 6-2 when we play them, they are still wearing the AFC crown and we have to wrestle it off them. Quote

There were multiple potential penalties on multiple tush push plays, on both sides/ NFL is certainly going to being it up again this off-season and I think they get the 2 votes to ban it they need. This year is market correction as shown with Kelce getting hit in the hands at the goal line only to deflect it to the Eagles. They will still probably win 10-12 games, but watching last year they had the largest golden horseshoe I have seen in a long time for a team. 1 Quote

McDaniel/grier really aren’t in a position where they’d keep their job if the dolphins bottom out chiefs seem to have a lot of oline and overall depth problems as parity has been chipping away at their roster.. they should prefer the picks over a wr that will soon be on the downswing. Chiefs will only have interest if the dolphins just let themselves get fleeced imo Edited September 15 by Generic_Bills_Fan Quote
Buffalo Ballin Posted September 15 Posted September 15 It's best to start this convo if Chiefs go 0-3 or 1-4. 1 1 Quote

Good time for Ross to do it with the longer week for the interims to settle in. From there, any dummy can make the call to trade Hill away for a bag of footballs. Chiefs will probably take any firepower at this point. Quote
