Game week thread - Dolphins at Bills TNF

I know it’s a long season, but you couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season than this.
 

We are two games up on both the Chiefs and Ravens (tie-breaker).

 

2-0 Bills! Time to squish the fish!

Short week. Dolphins will come in desperate and McDaniel squarely on the hot seat. Dolphins have weapons. Lets take care of business, execute and get to 3-0. DL needs to get to Tua and force him off his initial read. Can’t let Achane get going in the running game.  Come out strong and don’t give Miami any hope.

Never overlook an opponent but with the way the fish have played as of late, a win should be expected.

Dolphins defense is terribad. There is a chance Hill/Waddle/Achane go off, but our offense should have no problem keeping pace.

Bills going to 3-0 and sending Miami to 0-3 sounds like the perfect Thursday evening. I don’t discount the weapons Miami have on offense but Allen/Cook will not be stopped

Can they outscore us with that defense? Look what we did with Baltimore?

 

On paper I think the dolphins have more talent than we want to give credit for. Waddle, Hill, the young kid Washington, Darren Waller isn't the same as he used to be but he's still an option. Achane, Wright, Gordon, and even Ingold seems to do something once in a while.  I might take those skill players over the Ravens as a whole. Ravens have Hopkins, Flowers, and Henry. Likely is getting banged up a lot and Andrews and Waller are even.

 

Simply put the dolphins have as many weapons at the least.

I have a feeling Allen is going to make up for his 0 TDs today in this game. 

 

May be the worst secondary we face all year.

I expect Allen to go off for 350 yards or so of total offense. Defense will be stout. Bills win by double digits. A win against the Dolphins in Buffalo is pretty much guaranteed.

It’s a night game at home that the Bills have to have. 
 

Honestly it looks like the Dolphins want to give up already on Mike McDaniel and company. Get off to a fast start against them and I believe they will fold. 
 

Their defense doesn’t look like it can stop anybody and that’s with a young Drake Maye and Daniel Jones Quarterbacking. 
 

McDermott and Babich seem to have a really good grasp of what Tua and the Dolphins offense want to do most of the time.

SOME RANDOM THOUGHTS 

 

 

Achane is deadly. I'm just shocked he's lasted 2 games and not gotten hurt. 

 

McDaniel has pretty much abandoned the run in each of the first two games. Wonder if he keeps it up or overcompensates and tries to run it 40 times. FWIW, a good chunk of Dolphin fans are predicting McDaniel gets fired on Friday if they lose big Thursday. I guess we will see if his players wanna fight for him or not. 

 

The Dolphins are desperate for a win this year and desperate for a win against Buffalo. Allen, of course, has traditionally done well against them especially at home. 

 

After 2 weeks of watching Bosa get pressure and chase Lamar and Fields...he could have a huge game against a pocket QB like Tua with a shoddy OL. He may have multiple sacks especially if Ed is back too. Not sure Tua finishes this one. 

 

This is the game I'll miss Mad Max in. With his speed he can run with Hill and Waddle. With the way Tua under throws receivers, he could have had a big day.

 

Easily the worst OL we have faced this season. We should be able to get pressure with 4 consistently.

 

Miami doesn't scare me...but any given Sunday does. A year ago it took a Bass moonshot 60 yarder at the end to beat them here. I feel like we got better and they got worse since then. But again, any given Sunday.

 

Thursday games can be weird.
