I will NEVER pick against us.

Lol…I’m actually putting money on the Ravens…

Either way I will go to bed a happy man.

Last year the Ravens smacked the Bills early, then the Bills defense played well in the playoffs and Buffalo was helped out by Ravens mistakes.

Bills offensive personnel are essentially identical to last year.  Ravens same afaik. Henry will be fresh and rested.  Bills DL might be improved, LBs healthy, DBs possibly a mess.  Ravens defense slightly improved.

First game of the season is often an outlier and can be sloppy.  Ravens have had to hear about their playoffs failure all offseason.  Bills with the Hard Knocks hangover.

I hope I'm totally wrong.

Josh and company go on a heater. They come out firing on all cylinders and nothing that the ravens defense does seems to work. The Ravens do get off a few good drives but Buffalo's defense is sick of hearing about slow starts and come out fired up for the home crowd. Manage to get some key stops. The twelfth man causes at least a couple of false starts and the Ravens offense tries to fight through it but they can't keep up with MVP Josh.

And the debate over who should be MVP ends here and now.

If the Bills lose you’ll be happy?  Are you betting 1k on the ravens?

Haven’t decided how much, probably a couple hundred.

Obviously I prefer the bills to win, but if they don’t, it won’t be as bad as I will have won money. 👍

This is a terrible matchup for the Bills. Couple in all the Injuries too. I expect the Ravens offense to shred the young, depleted, and injured Bills D. I would like to hear how you think the Bills D will contain the Ravens offense.

On offense, I think the Ravens will sell out to stop the run, crowd the passing lanes,  and force the Bills to beat them deep.

Hope I'm wrong. I'm going to bet $100 on the Ravens to win. I'd rather still have the Bills win. Hope I'm wrong.

Ravens jump out to an early halftime lead 17-6, and hold on 27-19.

Hope I'm wrong, but I am basing this on the minimal playing time the starters had this preseason (anticipating sloppy play to start the game, hence being down at halftime) and a lack of confidence in our secondary and WR corps.

File this under "I'd love to be wrong", but I believe the Bills are overmatched in this one. The Ravens have a superior roster and the Bills are already dealing with numerous injuries before the first whistle blows.

1. They'll need the home crowd to stifle the Raven offense and give the Bills players extra motivation.

2. The Bills have to win the turnover battle.

3. Josh and his skill players need to bring their A-game.

4. Babich will need to scheme some looks that confuse Lamar.

Lots of 'ifs'.

The Ravens have revenge on their minds.
