It's not like we're choosing between Gabe Davis and Megatron for our PS/4/5 receiver.  I'm happy with this.  Given that this already looks like an injury season, i'm glad to have someone that is at least familiar with Josh and capable of big plays

He didn’t win us the Colts gave but he did make a big sideline reception when things weren’t going the Bills way in that game

For all the love daboll got... 1st and 10 from the indianpolis 34 with under 4 to play buffalo ran the ball exactly 0 times and gave the colts the ball back with 2 and a half minutes to go down 3.  In fact - buffalo ran the ball 1x in the 4th quarter.

I am really happy for this one.  Its such a long season and this team is always missing key guys in the playoffs.  He could slide right in and help when he is healthy.  If he had been healthy two years ago in the chiefs playoff game maybe we score one more td and win.

No complaints from me.

Josh might throw a few more interceptions in practice but it's a good depth signing.  From WR2 to practice squad in one year.  Life comes at you fast.

I would love him over Samuel or Moore (based on what we've seen so far).

You now have a more realistic option should one or both miss significant time, or ineffectiveness.  Samuel's issue is and continues to be availability, and Moore has never really lived up to his draft spot.  He's no longer "2nd round pick" moore, and is now journeyman Moore - its realistically his last chance to revive his career.  He's been very quiet, and his mouth has been an issue in the past, so it seems like he's doing the right things off the field.  He needs to step up when he's on the field this year.

Good PS signing, but no special teams play means he will be called up only if someone is injured, IMO.

Shavers offers very solid special teams as well as improved boundary WR Skills.

Just judging as a boundary WR (and let's say both are 100%), hard call on who is the better player but I'd lean towards Gabe unless Shavers goes off early in the year.

Hopefully they get Shavers some early season reps at WR and he just proves he belongs in the lineup full time.

To be fair… I would say this about every young, unproven player on the team.. not just Shavers.
