Hire Mike Rowe or really anyone with some voice inflection please. I think the strategy behind the narrator is to have the players and coaches be the stars. The narrator is there to fill in the blanks. You can like it or not (I'm kinda "meh"), but I think that is the reasoning behind the style. Quote

Earlier I Googled Hard Knocks but made a rather embarrassing typo on the second word. Anyways my HR rep must be a fan of the show. I'll let you know how the meeting goes. Would you prefer Maddy Glab? 6 Quote

It's still an NFL films product even if it runs on HBO. And so they're sticking with the classic style. 1 Quote

Kind of a powder puff episode compared to other HKs, but was still awesome to watch!! Love the on-field banter as always from Josh. Can't wait to see more.... I agree. The episode felt more like a marketing gimmick than some past seasons. Left me wondering if there was an effort to move away from following fringe roster players to stars. Felt a little hollow but maybe I’m too close 🤷♂️. Edited August 6 by Shortchaz 1 Quote

I always feel like the first episode or two of the training camp Hard Knocks aren't the most engaging they kind of serve as an overview of the personalities of the team and the coaching staff. It's not until you get to episode 3-5 of the training camp when you start see cuts and more meaningful pre-season action that things from a football perspective get interesting. 2 1 Quote

Next episode I expect Josh to take the OL to the Strong Museum after practice and go through the different types of fossils and then an astronomy lesson at the planetarium. I am just kidding, but it's what I thought of! It makes sense if you watched Burrow on Quarterback on Netflix. Always yapping about dinosaurs and fossils and other random science stuff. Now that I'm saying all that I wouldn't be shocked if it was some kind of inside joke based on Burrow in the Netflix show. Sort of like a friendly jab that the players would get but most would miss. Good call. I had forgotten about Burrow's little paleontology lesson in the QB show - I knew Josh's thing reminded me of something specific from one of these shows 1 Quote
