Rockpile233 Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Some people here were so eager to get the scoop on an ACL tear! Great news worth the wait! Quote

HappyDays Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Huge huge sigh of relief. Tre White was well on his way to winning the competition anyways so this injury doesn't affect our season at all. My concern with it was that I think it's likely our 3rd CB will have to play meaningful snaps this year and I'd much rather Hairston's upside be available for that role vs someone like Dane Jackson. Now we know Hairston will be back in plenty of time to take on that role and can use his time off to study the mental game, plus his long term career won't be affected. Impossible to overstate how good this news is. 14 3 Quote
jkeerie Posted July 30 Posted July 30 After his "God has my back. I can't lose" comment, I figured it was something that would delay his development in training camp so that he wouldn't be able to compete for starting corner...not something that would end his season. This is in line with that. 2 Quote

BananaB Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Well that’s good. Tre gonna be starting now but maybe Max will be ready for when Benford drops out of playoffs 2 1 Quote

Exactly this. Just posted something similar.  He will be behind the competition for CB3, hopefully hes back in the 3 week ish time frame, to get necessary reps.   Way too early to predict the 53/position composition- but best case we stay healthy at CB thru rest of preseason and either Dorian/Dane step up at CB3- can give us flexibility with how to handle Max roster spot if needed (make 53/IR could be an option). 1 Quote

I hate injuries during the season, but I despise serious injuries before we’re even playing football games! 1 Quote
NickelCity Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Huge relief. We need Hairston to be playing good starter ball by mid December. This leaves that door open. Quote
billsfan89 Posted July 30 Posted July 30 A minor setback to his development to miss the remainder of camp and all/most of pre-season. But man what a relief for this to be an overall minor injury. I am glad to hear he's OK. Give him all the time he needs, he can work on the mental aspects he needs to. Quote

Bunch of jackasses.  They've actually had good info before, including with injuries, I've followed them for a while. Not sure what happened this time around. Very happy their source was wrong of course. That will be the last time I post their info on this forum though because I can no longer trust them. 2 Quote

Likely their source is a lower level employee getting second/third hand info if I had to guess. Just have to be aware that it isn't the most reliable source going forward. Quote

Let’s hope Tre really recoups some of his coverage skills. Quote
