It's great news!

 

It does seemingly lock Tre White to start the year but honestly he might have won the job outright. There is abundant depth and Hairston can get worked in through the season

I can empathize a bit, as I'm rehabbing a complete knee replacement done two weeks ago.

I was so bothered by this Max situation and how it could impact our season that I thought that if you draft a corner in the first round, once he gets done hugging the Commish, drag him the nearest, best ortho guy and rebuild his knees.

I have calmed down a bit since, until the next injury.

 

This game/position is not meant for human knees, and the position is so impactful.

That's what I heard too. Maybe not to the full extent when he was having All Pro seasons but I feel rather comfortable with Tre as CB2 to start the year.

 

With Ingram, Jackson and Stong to fight over CB3 and 4? Yeah I feel ok

If Tre White returns to previous form or close to it... I am not sure I could have expected Max to hit that level his rookie year.. Tre was Prime time in the day.  If he is coming close to that, not sure there is a better free agent signing out there for the money... JMO .... Max could be the cherry on top...

Yep. Multiple reporting outlets had him as the best player on the field at yesterdays camp practice. Also, I witnessed it in person on Sunday and Monday. Not perfect, but plenty good play for a cb2.
