Improve : Im sticking with my pick from last year. O'Cyrus Torrence will look much better this year.  Honorable mention Curtis Samuel - when healthy late last year he was an effective WR downfield not just on WR bubble screens

Regress: Taron Johnson. I thought he slipped last year and I'm afraid he may be showing age/wear and tear.   Honorable mention Bernard. I hate small linebackers. He wasn't nearly as good last year as the prior. I could see his body breaking down. Hope I'm wrong or that contract becomes a massive albatross

If its purely a guy who will play a lot better in 2025 than 2024 then Ed Oliver. Last year by his standards was a disappointing year and I am certain he will be better in 2025.

If you are looking more for someone who will "break out" then I agree O'Cyrus is a decent shout. There have been flashes with him but it is the inconsistency, especially against speed rushers attacking his inside shoulder.

Regression? I'm sad to say but I think Matt Milano. He might just have missed too much football to ever be his old self. Honourable mention - Josh Allen. Not that Josh won't still be an elite Quarterback, he will. But I'm betting against back to back MVPs and as teams adjust to the Bills offense under Brady I do wonder whether the talent arpund Josh will be enough to win through if some of the schematic things we did to win last year are negated.

Most improved - Coleman ... I think he'll get it this year and come in bigger and stronger without losing any speed. 😉

Regress - Cook ... I just think last season will go down as his career best so anything less is a regression of sorts ... He'll still be top end.

Good topic, I have a feeling Keon Coleman is going to be one of our most improved players - although not sure what that may look like stats-wise with our WR shared approach. But if he gets going as a threat in the red zone and starts winning more 50-50 plays, that would be huge.

Regression is harder to choose although I like the previous suggestions of Taron and Milano. To throw out another possibility I’ll suggest Ty Johnson. I loved Ty last year and I don’t know if everyone realized how effective he was when he was in the game as both a pass catcher, runner and blocker. It will be difficult for him to replicate last year especially some of the special catches he made - so maybe we see a more average version of Ty this year.

Improved: In my mind, it is a toss up between Kincaid and Coleman

Regress: I agree with your choice of Taron

Lots of players to fit in here for improved Oliver, Johnson, Coleman, Samuel, even Milano to a point if he comes back healthy. But I am gonna pick Kincaid

Regress DaQuon who I think will lose his starting spot

I expect Bishop and Coleman to step it up to the next level.
Age and injury may show Milano to have had his best years behind him. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him used in more of a rotational role to preserve him into the playoffs (hopefully).

I liked Bishop coming out of college and was disappointed when he basically missed all of camp. With so much on the safeties plate in this D his chance at starting was basically done right there. Being a toolsy player with a year in the system I expect him to shine.

As for regression I think the obvious answer is Daquan. He regressed last year and is at an age where he could fall off the cliff. Still disappointed the Bills didn’t bring in a succession plan for him.

Hancock is central casting for that nickel role. Wonder if the coaches see signs in Taron, they'd rep him more at nickel than safety as they have currently slotted him.

Most Improved - Kincaid

Most Likely to Regress - Taron

Kincaid, healthy, finally gets on the same page with Allen and we see true TE1/Playmaker ability.

Taron Johnson has been a top tier slot corner for years now, but he seemed to be a bit of a liability at times last year, maybe age, maybe scheme, but he’d be my pick.   Not saying he’s going to be bad, but I just don’t know if he’s going to be Top 5 NCB good.

Most improved: Dalton Kincaid. He'll be the next Bills player to put everything together in his 3rd season.

Regressed: Daquon Jones. He has already shown it, and I think he continues to until other players get a lot more playing time than him.

I think Coleman will improve, but not sure if his actual numbers will reflect it due to all the new targets and their distribution.

Surprisingly, I also think Shakir will improve with another year of trust and chemistry with Josh. I expect him to just break 1k this season.

Regression is a tough one. Many say Daquan, but to me in order to regress you have to be a major starter and I feel his snap count will be seriously reduced if not getting cut outright.

Gotta think it'll be Milano. I think he'll be critical in a playoff push if healthy, but being older and injury prone could hurt. I also think this will also be a year Williams takes another step.

Dark horse regression candidate? I'm going with Bernard.

I don't have a player for either category.

What I know is that McDermott's mantra is continuous improvement, so his players do not regress. Each season, they're better than the previous season - UNTIL their bodies start to regress.  There's nothing to be done about that. So, whoever said Milano could be right - last year we may have seen the beginning of his physical regression.  White is another one.
