Buffalo Joe gonna play his way into the lineup this season?

He can squarely cement himself a nice backup roll, and if/when injuries strike have an opportunity to put meaningful snaps on tape.

 I like the player.

Josh gets married and is now playing like hot garbage.  We're doomed.  I knew we should have made a play for Darnold this year or drafted Rosen.  Neither of them are married.

Bring back the barmaid from Cheektowaga to right the ship before the season starts!

Second update is that Elijah Moore made a lot of plays today and caught a TD from Josh Allen. Parrino also said Tre White did not have a good day, giving up that TD to Moore and another to Samuel.

You can read between the lines on these reports to see what the depth chart looks like early. From this we can conclude that Moore is in with the 1st team offense and White is in with the 1st team defense, and least some of the time.

Oof. This seems to be a trend thus far and is sad to hear. I think we all saw that his time in LA last year was a disaster. He looked better in Baltimore, but I don't think he looked particularly very good either like fans like to say. Just much better relative to being a disaster.

I think we all want Tre to be on the roster this season. But he needs to look like a player we can call up on if Hairston isn't ready or someone gets injured if he's going to be on the 53. We're all rooting on him. But I've yet to hear anything from reporters about him beyond him having a bad day :(

We want Tre on the team if he is playing well and deserves to be on the team.  If he is slow and washed, bye bye.  And good luck with your life after football.

As Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) said in Moneyball.  There comes a time when everybody has to retire.  Time is undefeated.  If Jamarcus Ingram is better than Tre, than I want Jamarcus Ingram on the 53.  Same with Dorian Strong.  Same with Dane Jackson.  We all have our favorite players.  But at the end of the day, we all just want the Bills to win.  Doesn't matter who is wearing our uniforms.  Just win baby.

I am bummed about Bishop, even if it’s a minor injury this early in camp, but you’d like to see this guy become more durable. It’s because of his camp injuries last year that Hamlin started. He needs all the time on task that he can get. As far as Spector, that guy gets hurt crawling out of bed.

Were in camp?  its OTAs and they said no risk to camp.  Im not sure they even care about OTAs as they often (last year excluded) give them the last day off.  Agree he needs all the time on task he can get but pushing him now might impact reps during TC which are far more important.

Into the lineup for the Argonauts maybe. Hes a roster bubble guy that will be either the 53rd or 54th player. If they keep an extra DL or extra safety he won't make the final 53.

They are screwed if Hairston can't start.

If the rookie looks bad this week maybe they go after Alexander. Hes a far better option than Tre or Jackson.

He might. Granted he's a bubble player but he's a special teamer, knows the system and we aren't overwhelmed with LB depth. They saw something in him that they didn't in Nick Morrow last year

OTAs are mostly about install and that happens off the field, on the field is muscle memory and some chemistry

I think there’s been enough problems with “chemistry” with a couple of our free agents to move forward without it.

A few updates from Matt Parrino:

Quote

Josh Allen was electric for most of Wednesday's practice, rebounding from some mistakes on Day 1 of minicamp. In 7on7, he completed 6 straight passes before his first incompletion.

Keon Coleman caught two of them and showed off some more ability to get open working against Benford and White. Elijah Moore caught one down the right sideline that might have gone for a touchdown in a game or he might have been flagged for OPI. Tre White had great coverage on the play.

The Dawson Knox connection with Allen always seems ready to emerge in Buffalo's offense. The two synced up for 3 or 4 completions. Think Knox has been stellar all spring

Quote

Near the end of practice, Maxwell Hairston seemed to sustain an apparent lower body injury. Athletic trainers were looking at him after the play and then he sat out and watched the rest of practice. Joe Buscaglia saw him walk slowly to the locker room after practice ended.

That development puts a damper on what was a strong practice for the rookie cornerback. He had several reps where he knew his responsibility and took away his side of the field. CBs coach Jahmile Addae celebrated with him after one route working against Elijah Moore, who was really good again today, because Moore didn't even factor into the play.

Quote

Tre'Davious White had a throwback practice with several impressive reps. It started in 7v7 where I thought he competed well on almost every rep he took. He went one on one against Elijah Moore and I thought he ran with him well and contested the catch. Moore had a little OPI on the play otherwise White might have had a pass breakup. Later in 11on11, White intercepted Josh Allen and ran it back for what could have been a touchdown. The throw was going to Khalil Shakir, who had a bit of a shaky practice. Shakir slipped and White was in perfect position to contest and ended up catching the ball.
