Hilarious and entirely predictable outcome for Jacksonville.

As for the Bills, it seems like the team is invested in Moore at this point, they gave him a press conference which is usually a signal he's close to being a roster lock. So I don't see where Davis fits in. And frankly I wouldn't want his error-prone skillset back in this offense unless it was like his usage in 2020 when he had 3 legit WRs ahead of him on the depth chart and he had a very specific role.

He's worthless to Josh if he can't be on the same page with him out there when it counts. I'm good.

This is where I'm at. His last season here it looked like he was responsible for at least 5 interceptions.

I don't want him back, but my money would be on Beane re-signing him. Beane LOVES bringing back players that he's familiar with

I just can't see Davis willing to come in and be a number 3-6 wr on this roster. How will that help him reset and get another solid deal?

That's true. The place that immediately jumps out to me is Vegas who have basically zero established outside receivers.

I think it is a little bit higher than 50-50. Really depends what his market is but coming off a bad injury last year and the timing of this release (i.e. after teams have put together their rosters) the chances are he takes a 1 year, prove-it type deal. The Bills and Beane in particular loved him as a guy and a teammate.

I wanted him gone during his last year here, and now I’d love him back in the Mack role.  He’s exactly what we need as a blocker, enforcer, lower tier option, and all around dude.  He was miscast as a 2 but is in his lane as a 4 or 5.

This season is such a crucial season for us, and to risk it by trying to fit a square peg in a round hole is just not worth it. The Moore signing I am EXTREMELY excited about, a WR who can stretch the field that has never had even a good QB throw to him.

He's not a good football player. His entire career is based off of one game. Please move on Beane.

So true....eventually you'd think this organization would end bringing back mediocre retreat players. Just because you know the system doesn't mean you should return.

I'm firmly in the camp that losing Davis was addition by subtraction, even though he had some great games as a Bill. So many of Allen's INTs two seasons ago were Davis targets.

Maybe he'd be fine as a WR5 depth piece if you never give him a choice or option route. I swear to god he was never on the same page as Allen.

Wouldn't be shocked if the Steelers bring him in. That room is looking a little sparse post Pickens trade and Gabe has balled out against them in the past.

Was just thinking the same thing.  He has a shot to go there and get real reps.  He’s got no guarantee of anything in Buffalo.  At best he wins the #4 role here.

He’d be our best blocking WR by a mile.

If he accepts he’s more Mack Hollins and not a WR 2 or even 3 - that’s his role now.

But I don’t think he can play ST so it’s a no.

Why? He’s an actual better version of Mack Hollins, good in the locker room, and certainly not good enough to demand a high target share.

He ain’t perfect but no one on the Bills is either.

No. No, he wasn't.

Moore is more of a slot like seemingly all our guys.  We wouldn’t need Gabe to be a #2, but he would add that outside vertical presence we are lacking.

Absolutely.  It’s no coincidence that Allen had considerably less ints last season.  I like Gabe, but if there’s anything to do with an option route, absolutely freaking not.  I like him in the back yard, jump ball role only.
