Tired of these "developmental" players,

SB caliber team, we need impact now, with that being said, it'd be nice to see a Keon, Bishop, Carter , Solomon develop into an impact player in year 2

Keon has had an excellent camp. I think he is on the verge of making a mark on this team this season

Pass rushers don't grow on trees. If they think they can develop a 3rd round pick into an above average starter, then I don't think it's a bad pick. If they were for some reason hoping he'd be a contributor year 1 then they whiffed hard.

If a Day 2 pick doesn’t contribute in Year 1, then that’s a problem.

Jackson doesn’t seem to have much bend in his pass rush repertoire.

Haha how about day 1 pick! We’re lucky for that around here !

Beane and McDermott are feeling the pressure to win now. My gut says they make an example out of Jackson by cutting him. You have to earn a spot on this roster. Your draft position shouldn’t mean a thing.

Good grief.

This isn't true at all.    It's certainly something that teams would strive for, but it's generally unrealistic and is an argument that whiners use.

I'm hoping that this was an attempt at sarcasm.  If it wasn't, it's probably one of the worst takes I've seen on this board in a long time, and Lord knows there's a lot of stupid stuff posted on a daily basis.

Like 75% of day 2 picks don’t work out.

The problem is, year after year we keep investing heavily in the same position group and it continues to be a problem.

We need at least two out of three of this rookie DL class to hit IMO.

He does have a lot going for him. Crazy motor, plays like a wolverine. Freakishly long arms, plenty of power. He'll never bend like Von Miller, but I think he could easily stick as a valuable rotational piece.

If Oliver and Rousseau were studs in the playoffs, we wouldn't be reduced to wishing for a third round developmental pick to become a "monster"...

Although, to be fair, they have like half the time to get home on their rushes than their counterparts on teams that have a competent secondary. It doesn't take much time to hit receivers routinely given a ten-yard cushion.

Yeah expecting an all pro in the third round is a bit much...  I would like to see more out of him... but the reality is he may need some time...

You may have stumbled on the only thing that could get them fired this year. Congratulations!

If they haven't been fired now, I don't know if they ever will be.
