I think he is on the verge of making a mark on this team this season 1 Quote

If they think they can develop a 3rd round pick into an above average starter, then I don't think it's a bad pick. If they were for some reason hoping he'd be a contributor year 1 then they whiffed hard. If a Day 2 pick doesn’t contribute in Year 1, then that’s a problem. Jackson doesn’t seem to have much bend in his pass rush repertoire. 3 1 Quote

Bills!Win! Posted August 25 Posted August 25 (edited) Beane and McDermott are feeling the pressure to win now. My gut says they make an example out of Jackson by cutting him. You have to earn a spot on this roster. Your draft position shouldn’t mean a thing. Edited August 25 by Bills!Win! 3 4 Quote

It's certainly something that teams would strive for, but it's generally unrealistic and is an argument that whiners use. 6 hours ago, Bills!Win! said: Beane and McDermott are feeling the pressure to win now. If it wasn't, it's probably one of the worst takes I've seen on this board in a long time, and Lord knows there's a lot of stupid stuff posted on a daily basis. Quote

The problem is, year after year we keep investing heavily in the same position group and it continues to be a problem. We need at least two out of three of this rookie DL class to hit IMO. Quote
Pecker Posted August 25 Posted August 25 What was Jackson’s injury? It was never mentioned but, he may have been hampered during the offseason and not at 100% Quote
Ray Stonada Posted August 25 Posted August 25 If Oliver and Rousseau were studs in the playoffs, we wouldn't be reduced to wishing for a third round developmental pick to become a "monster"... 1 1 Quote
finn Posted August 25 Posted August 25 He does have a lot going for him. Crazy motor, plays like a wolverine. Freakishly long arms, plenty of power. He'll never bend like Von Miller, but I think he could easily stick as a valuable rotational piece. Quote

Although, to be fair, they have like half the time to get home on their rushes than their counterparts on teams that have a competent secondary. It doesn't take much time to hit receivers routinely given a ten-yard cushion. 1 1 Quote

I would like to see more out of him... but the reality is he may need some time... Quote
