So beat them all out and there wont be a problem, won't hurt him if he's good enough. Any one of these WR's other than Shakircan win those outside WR spots imo, time to earn it.

Well it’s more than just that I get your what you’re saying though. They’re not going to not play Coleman as he’s a high draft pick and Samuel is going to be on the roster because his contract will dictate that. They paid Palmer solid # 3 money so Shavers opportunity is Moore and maybeeee  Samuel

Our most receptions last year was Shakir with 76. Next highest was Kincaid at 44... There's no way Moore is getting more than 80. First he has to make the team.

The amount of guaranteed money will determine how likely he is to make the roster. IMO he doesn’t sign with Buffalo without having a reasonable assurance.  I think he takes a lot of snaps on the outside, especially considering that I don’t think will see a different version of Keon Coleman than we saw last season

Word is that coleman has added muscle this yr. Maybe he can be stronger on contested balls

His problem was route running and not getting separation a lot more than it was missing contested catches.

I think it explains exactly why he acted that way on the radio show......2 radio guys who only have half the information are dogging him for not drafting a WR, when Beane already had a plan in place if the receivers he wanted did not fall to him in the draft.

He was basically telling them "I am thinking 4 steps ahead of you......don't assume I don't know what I am doing because I didn't do the thing you wanted me to do."

Agreed!

He probably signed him to shut everyone up, as even USA Today in their power rankings stated that the Bills should have drafted a WR!

Most Bills fans have been bleating endlessly about how the weakest part of the team is the WR corps.

The thing is that Tom Brady and the Patriots spent a decade without that superstar #1 WR. The Earnhardt-Perkins scheme that the Patriots used to run and Buffalo utilize that strong run game and move the chains passing game until they reach the end zone, and then punch it in...same at the SB winning Patriots.

How did the Bengals fare last season with their two elite WRs?  The 49ers? The Dolphins with super speedster Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle with paying their QB, receivers so much that the rest of the team is lacking.

The very last thing this team needs is a diva WR like Diggs who wants all the passes his way and still complains. Been there, done that!

Low risk high reward. We should have a better WR room purely on development and return from injury but this sounds like a Hollins level replacment

No one can ever replace Mack Hollins (in our hearts) 😭

Hollins is gone and has ostensibly been replaced by Palmer. Amari Cooper is gone and now potentially replaced by Moore.

So not sure why Clay seems to think there is not enough room for all of them.

Kind of amazing how different this team is than drought teams.

Back then, we might have one great receiver, two passable guys, and barely 2-3 more to round it out. If someone got injured, we would be in a tough spot.

Now, we will have to cut probably 3 guys who can probably start or get meaningful snaps for other teams.

If you can't beat those guys you don't deserve a roster spot to be honest.

Meh there's no assurances for low cost reclamation projects signed after the draft. I'm sure he signed here mainly because there's a clear path to making the roster and producing with an elite QB, not because we guaranteed him a bunch of money. I'd definitely make him the favorite for the #5 spot right now.

At WR? Not a chance. Right now, they are bare minimum above the threshold for NFL caliber.

And we don't have one great receiver. Shakir is the best. He is in the good/very good range. He seems superlative in comparison to the rest of the receiver room.

So we have 6 receivers on the roster all 6’ 1” or under.  In fact we only have two receivers over 6’ 1” and that Shavers and the 7th round rookie.  This is going to be fun to watch…aim small miss small Josh.

Because either they don't know how the bills run their offense or is just writing a story to make up a reason to contradict everything that has been being said the last 72 hours.

Either way, It's likely going to be Coleman, Shakir and two others fighting for the WR3 and WR4 job.  Bills did switch to a heavier run offense this year and I expect that to continue so it's likely going to be either a TE or added OL as the extra WR (assuming they are keeping a RB in on those downs).  So WR4 isn't as important but is still good to have depth wise.

I don’t get why people are writing him off like he is gonna be lucky to make this team. Cleveland put a tender on him that guaranteed him 3.4 million this year so he will likely make more or close to that in guaranteed money.

He is an equivalent player to John brown and Cole Beasley when they joined the bills

here are the starts for all 3 for the 4 years prior to joining the bills:

Moore-  joined bill at age 25

  200 catches 2162 yards 9tds

Beasley- joined bills at age 30

  228 catches 2355 yards 17 tds

Brown- joined bills at age 29

  167 catches 2534 yards 17 tds

Moore is just getting to his prime while brown and Beasley put up similar numbers during their prime

Man, remember those teams when it was like Week 12?
We were usually 5-7 and still mathematically alive….but the dudes they had to trot out onto the field when the starter got injured were just so bad.
