I don’t think most people are putting Coleman and greatness in the same sentence. My stance is that it is not unreasonable to think players can improve with more time in the league. Too many people are writing this kid off after a rookie season truncated with injury. He has to continue putting in the work; his GM and HC have made that public. So let’s see how he does assuming that work is done. He has the athleticism to be a strong contributor. And this is just my personal pet peeve but can we please drop the slow stuff. The difference in actual distance with a fraction of a second or two difference is around 2 feet. I hear that. Def room for improvement. I just wouldn’t bank on it with him. He RETURNED from injury for much of the late season and post season. And looked really bad. Complete no show non factor in 3 playoff games. Where as cough cough. Worthy looked… well good. edit. Sorry. He did “draw” a DPI penalty vs tre white for interfering with him vs ravens Edited Wednesday at 09:01 PM by balln Quote

Sorry. He did “draw” a DPI penalty vs tre white for interfering with him vs ravens I think too many people today make erroneously quick judgments. He did not come back from injury strong and Beane called him out on it. So let’s see how he responds. My guess is it will be in a positive manner. I don’t see anything suggesting he’s a diva. And Worthy? Not bad but all his Super Bowl stuff was garbage time. Quote

KingBoots8 Posted Wednesday at 09:41 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:41 PM I said this in another thread but signing Moore today may make WGR feel like they got a “win” here lol Quote

Disagree it actually favors Beane even more showing these clowns had no idea what they were talking about in terms of not drafting a WR. Beane was in contact for a while with Moore, showing he didn’t feel he had to reach in the draft and had post draft options if a WR didn’t happen early in the draft. Not to mention, these fools were clamoring for someone other than a depth WR like Moore too. 3 2 5 1 Quote

If the had signed Moore ahead of that confrontation they would not be so positive on it. 1 Quote

If your plan is to keep doing 1 year deals on vet WRs other teams don’t want to pay, just own it. Some teams get cheap youth through the draft at the WR position and others dig in the free agency dumpster. Thankfully they found a Twinkie still in its wrapper this time, Moore should give this offense what we need stretching the field and getting separation Edited Thursday at 01:36 AM by NeverOutNick 1 2 3 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted Thursday at 02:17 AM Posted Thursday at 02:17 AM If you liked what Beane had to say, you'll like this clip of Chris Simms and Devin McCourty standing up for him: My response to them would be everything I've already said on here. But I do get what they're saying. 1 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted Thursday at 02:26 AM Posted Thursday at 02:26 AM I think WGR should schedule Beane for tomorrow morning and start complaining we haven’t traded for an impact WR because then Beane will pull off a deal🤣 3 Quote

He is prickly about the WR/draft conversation. Interesting interaction and not the usual Beane interview. "Coming in Hot" is an apt description. Wow. Beane very defensive about the WR room. Quote

Thankfully they found a Twinkie still in its wrapper this time, Moore should give this offense what we need stretching the field and getting separation Yea if Beane had come in saying "guys look, I know you have been talking a lot about receiver this morning but honestly I'd love to have drafted one but I stuck the board and went in other spots and I feel good about what we have" then no issue. It was the "this is 2018", "let me speak" and "you guys wanna play fantasy football" that was the issue. I have no problem at all with him pushing back on the receiver narrative some. But he came in unnecessarily hot and actually I think if you listened to the full show as I did Jeremy and Joe had actually given quite a lot of credit for the defense moves and their conversation about receiver was a broader one about prioritisation of them, salary cap strategy, and how you factor that into draft value. Equally I actually thought Jeremy responded pretty well but then his closing after Beane had finished the call of "we are not playing fantasy football, we are smarter than that, and we are not here to be belittled" was equally unnecessary and petty. I've been there. I got the famous Sir Alex Ferguson hairdryer treatment back in 2005 when interviewing him because I asked a question he didn't like. You just have to keep your cool. 1 1 Quote
