Right, but by the same token, most players are not the same their first year back from an ACL tear. Especially when we're talking about a guy whose calling card is his speed/twitch.

It's possible -- not certain, but possible -- that we're looking at Hairston not contributing in a major, high level way until year three of his rookie contract.

Some of the best players to ever play the game sat out their first year and watched from the bench. Injuries are never good but at least he will have a full year of mental reps on the sideline

Sure its possible, but I am not one to get into doom and gloom until we cross that bridge. At his age, and within the time frame he certainly can be back by end of next year and be fine. No reason to think otherwise at this point so why go there?

No I'm seeing multiple replies from Max's actual twitter account in screenshots, that are now deleted. So I think they WERE real replies (from Max) but he deleted them quickly - so they can't be found on his page any longer. My hope at least.

If Hairston actually knows something about his knee, I wonder why he wouldn’t just come out and say it rather than posting vague or ambiguous messages.

Yeah I was about to post this too, a couple people on Twitter screenshotted Hairston's reply before he deleted it. So hopefully good news.

 

At this point I'm driving myself crazy riding the roller coaster, just have to wait for official confirmation.

The good news is we haven't heard Schefter or of the other guys reporting that we signed someone.  That would be a red flag that it's serious.
