NFLN is replaying Bills-Lions from last year. Cook has 80 yards of offense in the first 13 minutes of the game! Are we sure he isn't worth it?

He will be worth it once he stops dropping passes

He's very dangerous as a receiver.  He's not dropping a lot of passes.

I've been watching highlights from last season.  Cook is dynamic, one of the best backs on the league.  I really want to see him signed to an extension.

He's worth big money.

He hasn't dropped a pass in a long time.

Yeah but remember he dropped a couple of passes a couple of seasons ago, so obviously that means he will always drop them, duh

Force him to play this year or fine him. Let him walk after the season and get most likely a 3rd round compensatory pick…. His career is mirroring his brothers.

How is it mirroring his brother's career?

Honest to freaking god, these offseason threads are cringe-worthy

James Cook is a very good running back

James Cook has some elite talents

James Cook produced at a high level last year

James Cook isn't Saquon Barkley

He's going to play in Buffalo this year without holdouts or complaints

He will continue to play at a high level, but not get more than 60% of snaps, similar to last year

He'll leave in free agency and get a nice, but not elite, 2nd contract

The Bills will get a nice comp pick in 2027

Unless you are a Unicorn, Sequon (spelling) or Derrick Henry, you rent RBs, overpay long term.

Our line was top notch last year everyone ran well behind it. If you look he had one great season of lots of TDs the others were standard top 15 RB years.

I don’t see us putting more than 11 million 3 years into him and if he wants 15 let him be we can fill that void with ray and or rookies.

He is worth keeping, however the jury is still out on what he should be paid. Let him play this season and if he earns it we will have to pay him more. If he plays like his first 2 seasons then he needs to lower his price or find a sucker who will pony up.

i hope he crushes it and earns his pay, but time will tell.

Why is there anyone who disagrees? If we blow this and he leaves, we’ll truly be wasting Josh’s prime years.
