I guess the answer is to win a Super Bowl, but I get that many receivers are more interested in their stats and paycheck. Thanks. I think lower and mid level receivers would actually really like Brady's style. Mack Hollins got his best contract after a year with Josh. The WR1 types will not like it cause they wont get target share, but lower caliber WR will get MORE targets in this theory (cause everybody eats). Considering we are very unlikely to have the money to get a WR1 type through FA (most likely route is through the draft), I dont think this matters if its true (it does seem intuitive). 1 1 1 Quote

If you select an individual player you can look at individual splits like indoor/outdoor, home and road, etc. I liked Dejean too. Just seemed to pop in the plays that i watched and didn't seem limited to inside or outside corner. We needed to trade up and get Brian Thomas Jr. he was the last best receiver available 1 1 Quote
DCofNC Posted August 15 Posted August 15 13 hours ago, YattaOkasan said: Catching passes from Allen is the answer. Mack Hollins is pretty happy after a year of catching passes from Josh. So I would say your point (if true) applies more to higher echelon WR than mid to lower level WR who probably feel they have a better chance to get targets with Brady. Considering our best route for getting WR1 type talent is through the draft (cause we really dont have cap to get a WR1 through FA), I dont think this matters. Spot on. It will be tough to get a high end WR to come here in FA. 12 hours ago, finn said: I get it, thanks. Sweats Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Well, you can't expect our FO to always be able to judge talent appropriately or "hit" on every pick.........they're the smartest ones in the room, don't you know?!? ........disgusting 2 Quote

I remember also saying that it was more important to draft someone that can actually play in the NFL as the first priority, as opposed to trying to force a lumbering tree just because people wanted a guy that was tall. 1 Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I'm. It convinced that Brady would use him or feature him like LA does. Everyone eats here which means we run the ball and when that doesn't work we turn to Josh to bail us out. If Shakir takes care of that slot position like we claim (and he does) then why don't we go to him often like the playmaker he is. Well maybe because he's covered. Then let's go to Kincaid. Ohh yeah we use him as a slot guy too. He was supposed to be a feature and he's only used 49% of the time. Ok then let's go to Coleman. Oh right we drafted him to be a good blocker and contested catch guy. Ok so he's a good blocker I guess. Anyways. We all like Brady because he coached Jefferson and Chase. Who wouldn't look good coaching those two. I don't have faith in Brady to use talent we have. Quote
GunnerBill Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago 2 hours ago, Magox said: He’s jUsT a slOt gUy Not "just" a slot guy. But he IS a slot guy. He is at 63% slot percentage again this year and his production is slanted towards the slot again as well. He isn't Khalil Shakir (who is JUST a slot guy) he can play snaps for you outside, but can't play as a down in and down out outside receiver. The Chargers tried to use him outside a little more earlier in the year and his production dipped. 2 Quote

colin Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago it is interesting that we didn't take ladd because we had shakir, kinda shows the bills loyalty to their guys mindset. at this point it would have been better to not extend shakir, draft ladd, and used the shakir money to bundle up w palmer money and go get like devonte adams or something, but i admit that's 20/20 hindsight cherry picking. there is an element of the bills really deferring to guys they "know". 1 Quote
