Saxum
https://www.niagara-gazette.com/sports/under-further-review-bills-defense-making-a-habit-of-buckling-down-in-red-zone/article_38a2e0a6-9567-11ef-adca-838a1dd602a6.html From Niagara Gazette which allows only 2 articles per month. Quote Once opponents enter the red zone, that’s when the Bills start to buckle down and they have been suffocating with their backs against the goal line, as the Seattle Seahawks traversed to the Bills’ 3-yard line or closer three times and came away with one touchdown in Buffalo’s 31-10 win Sunday. The Bills are giving up touchdowns on 44.4% of red zone trips — 33% over the last four games — which is the team’s best mark since Sean McDermott became head coach in 2017, allowing fewer than 50% just once (2022) during that time. Quote It could be called bend-but-don’t-break defense, but it’s really a game of chicken, with the Bills banking on opponents breaking first. He does some do diagnosing of plays although most can be found elsewhere like TwitterX and YouTube. Nick Sabato @NickSabatoGNN
RoyBatty is alive
Ehh, chicken wing defense, please no. It is a real stretch to say the least.
machine gun kelly
There was an interesting article how they are currently #1 in defense this year with a light box. They use a two cover shell as you guys know which blankets overwatch for the pass, and the light shellis the best at stopping the run and short to intermediate passes. They’ve drilled this into them since camp d it’s working. What we don’t need is any more significant injuries. That torpedoed us against the Bengals and Chiefs the last two years. 2
Sweats
It sounds like some kind of lawyer term......."the chicken wing defense". I'm going to have to pass on this. 1 1

Not surprising, they have been playing that way for years now, other teams are playing catch up in that regard.

Old Coot Posted yesterday at 12:30 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:30 AM It's simple physics. In the red zone there's less grass to defend. Of course other teams will design plays based on what they see on film but McD is said to be quite good at disguising the D.

My boss was a Houston alum, went with him in ‘79 to see the Cougars play Texas Tech in the Astrodome. They won the Cotton Bowl that year, it was a great experience to witness up close, so to say
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted yesterday at 11:02 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:02 AM We have also had some real luck down in the red zone. A TD from the 1 called back against the jets on a cheap hold away from the run. Geno smith tripping and falling down on 4th and goal.
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted yesterday at 11:27 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:27 AM Yeah, It’s a hard no from me …. I can see the headline already after a bad day at the office: “The Bills defense came out flat and was beaten like a drum” 1

boater Posted yesterday at 12:19 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:19 PM I'm not puffing up my chest about the Red Zone D. It's good, but not exemplary. The Red Zone stops were more a product of Seattle self destructing than of Bills D dominance.
