Quote: Back-to-back Super Bowl championships are more than enough to warrant a contract extension between Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs. Reid and the Chiefs are in the beginning stages of working out a contract extension that would make Reid the highest-paid head coach in the NFL, per NFL Network. General manager Brett Veach is also in line for a new deal, replacing the final two years on the contracts the duo signed following the 2019 season after the Chiefs' win in Super Bowl LIV. Gregg
Good for Andy. He has certainly earned that big contract. 2
BuffaloBillyG
Deserves it. As much as I hate losing to the Chiefs in the playoffs and as bored as I am with KC's post season success...I do like Andy. 3

KDIGGZ
He should pass Belicheat in wins in 4 years and Shula in 6 years. Could go down as the best coach in NFL history if he can lay off those twinkies 😮

Mr. WEO
I was listening to the bet MGM people on the radio drive home tonight and one made an interesting point: this past season may have been their weakest Offensive roster in years----and no doubt they are going to load up this off season. Scary.

We don't know or judge him personally but it's easy to imagine he was pretty absent from his kids life due to his career. 42 minutes ago, Mr. WEO said: I was listening to the bet MGM people on the radio drive home tonight and one made an interesting point: this past season may have been their weakest Offensive roster in years----and no doubt they are going to load up this off season. Scary. They'll keep Jones, it'll be interesting on Snead. They're gonna hopefully going to be able to pay Duffey after Pfizer-Swift retires. Before that happens they'll load up on skill positions on offense From there they can sustain success 3-4 more years.

78thealltimegreat
The guy made AJ Feely and Kevin Kolb look like NfL qbs he maybe in all honesty the coach of the bills biggest rival but he’s also a damn good one. He’s as close to a modern version of Bill Walsh as there ever was one. Well deserved

corta765
Reid is the top active coach and has a real argument for #1. He has had two runs of long term success in two different markets which only Shula can match to that level. BB with Brady has the best run in one time, but the arguments that Brady propped him up a bit feel more valid given the last few years, his record without Brady being sub .500, and his overall pool of coaches not being very stellar. The best credit BB has outside of NE is actually SB25 with what he did and his time with Parcells in NY both times.
TheFunPolice
Reid was in the top 10 all-time in HC wins before Mahomes was even drafted. Uncrowned GOAT. That Tampa/KC Super Bowl is a bummer, because the rings chase could be 6-4 right now but that goes both ways. Reid will retire with every record, except SB rings because the AFC is just too good for them to keep getting there enough times in the next 5-6 years. Mahomes will likely tie Brady or get close (IMO) but he has 15+ years left to do that. Reid has 5-6 probably. GoBills808
six straight AFC championship games w Mahomes is impressive but I'd argue 4straight w Donovan McNabb is even moreso

Success
I'm still an Andy Reid fan. Not so much anything else KC-related. But man, do I love a sports story where someone turns the narrative about them on its head. Reid was that "can never win the big one" guy, and now he's regarded as the best in the game. Rightfully. Who knows. Maybe we'll get a narrative change one of these days.
