McD was acknowledging the effort of the entire staff...coaches, players etc. He pointed out it was NOT the outcome they wanted but it was a good season from the standpoint of winning the AFCE and getting to the divisional round. His personality is already abrasive and he lacks the credibility to keep doing the same thing without people questioning it.
