Aging vets and their salaries The cap hell we are about to enter. The coach continuing to fail this team when it counts. Gonna have to see some big changes going forward. I think Gabe is better than he has shown this year but it doesn't matter. He is gone and they need to draft a legit superstar WR. Brown has played good enough to not draft OT round 1. I would still draft an OT in round 2 or 3. But as others have said, not making the playoffs with a healthy Josh Allen is an abject failure. There is no other way of seeing it. This year can't be viewed as anything but a miserable failure. For every positive, there is an equal negative. - Dalton Kincaid looks like a rising stud. But Stefon Diggs is nearing his decline. And we need to restart completely at WR2. - Terrel Bernard was a surprise hit. But Matt Milano will be coming off a major leg injury. - O-Line finally looks solid. We just came off puking away a completely winnable game against a very overrated Eagles team that just had their doors blown off by the 49ers. The way this team is playing, 9-8 will be a real accomplishment and that will leave us two games out of the playoffs. Yes. I agree that some of our young guys have flashed, but we are 6-6 and nearly everything (big picture-wise) has been trending down for this team over the last 13 months. Add to that an aging roster, bad cap situation and a ton of holes to fill and it's very very difficult for me to pump sunshine at the moment. Having spewed all that, I really hope I'm wrong and the optimists get to pull this thread up and dunk on me at the end of the season (and further in into the future). The 2024 season was supposed to be the most tenuous season for playoffs as the team begins to stack cap/spending for 2025 & 2026. So for a team with a 5th ranked offense and a 5th ranked defense, not sure you'll find a team in the free agency era anyway that whiffed on playoffs like that. And we're still coached by McDoesn'tKnow who's responsible for likely keeping a team that currently has the 5th ranked O and D out of the playoffs. We've had these positives and are STILL going to miss the playoffs with an elite QB. The Gabe part though is not a credit to the Bills. We've known this for a long time now. So can't exactly agree with these, the first I just don't, maybe he's managed to not be complete liability in some games down the stretch but he also has forced us to game plan assistance because he gets beat so ***** often. Feel like we need a better RT if nothing else we should draft someone to decently high for the job if Brown wants to keep the job win it. Second one, I'm less disagreeing that Shakir is coming along as a playmaker so much as I don't know if calling him a Beasley replacement is accurate, just not sure that's the role he's been filling. This is a false narrative that I call Broadcast Bias because Nantz pointed it out TWICE, therefore everyone thinks it's an absolute rule. Diggs was in on 87 of 95 Offensive snaps. He needs breathers like any WR. Diggs isnt the problem. He isnt even A problem. Or anything to be concerned about.
