Are the Dolphins obviously better than the Bills?

The one thing we got to take into account is the aging of the Bills roster. On paper the names look great but we got a lot of our stars starting to age we will see if that makes a difference or not this yr.

I would expect the Bills will have to re-tool or reshape the roster next offseason. I don't think it will be a rebuild but the team will have to get younger. To many players at or over 30.

The Bills had the best roster in the AFCE, outside the quarterback, for a few years during the drought.

The Eagles had a better roster than KC at every position except QB and TE.

Exactly the better roster in modern today’s NFL football rules means nothing. If you don’t have a quarterback you aren’t winning. The Buffalo Bills had some good teams during the 17 drought it meant nothing against the better New England Patriots quarterbacked by Tom Brady. Tua is the reason Miami Dolphins won’t win he is the Joe Ferguson and Drew Bledsoe of the Buffalo Bills good but not good enough to win with.

To Miami Dolphins fans telling it like it is enjoy Messi and Inter Miami because that is all Miami is winning this season. It’s not meant as a put down Messi and Inter Miami are great to watch in MLS in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

I think the reason McD has so many detractors is because many mafiosos overrate our roster.  If Beane built a SB roster, we ought to be playing in SBs.   But he hasn't (yet), and we're not (yet).

I tend to agree with Simms: outside of QB (and, obviously, that's a huge thing to leave out), Miami's roster has the edge.

On D that's the problem.

The bigger problem on offense is that - until maybe this year - we've only had two great players: Josh and Diggs.  Beane's offenses have been manned mostly by jags.  Some of the O Linemen who have started for us don't even deserve that appellation.

No, they are stronger in a couple areas but overall the QB difference is too overwhelming

Exactly, you can’t say, for example,  “we split”,  because QB is weighted so much more heavily than any other position. It’s hard to overcome having a china doll at the most important position. Tua has some skills, but I don’t know how long he can last. I hope he suffers no lasting damage.

Everey team has jags though. Impossible to have stars at every position. We had a top 3 o for 3 years and now have upgraded both G positions and have the bestvTE duo in the game imo

This is all about "on paper". And on paper, it's tough to argue against their position.

The main difference in the Bills favor is how much better Josh is than Tua.

"Bills fans remembering that the QB position matters more than every other position by a mile after watching the team miss the playoffs for almost 20 years" challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)

Most posters here know my stance on the Dolphins, and quite frankly they still might have the best roster in the league even after losing a star player like Ramsey for probably the entire season.

With that said I'm still on the fence in terms of picking them to win the division this year because Tua still a big question mark in terms of staying healthy. But if he does they are right up there with the Chiefs and Bengals as the best teams in the league/conference and probably will take the AFCE with little resistance.

Tua was on track for an MVP season last year before the injuries and among the top 5 overall QB's in the league.

He's not going to wow you like Mahomes or JA17 but he's probably the best pure passer surgical type QB in the league and definitely on a trajectory to be the next Drew Brees. Seems like a good kid and wish him the best despite being on a division rival.

Lot's of question marks and "ifs" in your OP response. The biggest "if" is IF Tua stays in for their season, the Phins are a much better team than the Bills.

They are faster, their offense runs a lot of motion and interesting plays. That is O coaching which they are better. All around, I'd say they have a stronger team. Again, this is with Tua.

If Tua didn't miss all those games last year including our playoff tilt - they beat us. I love the Bills but the Phins are gonna be tough this year!

If the Bills weren’t all beat up for both games the Bills walk away no contest.

Not so sure about that. Dolphins were down to their 3rd string rookie QB and still almost beat the Bills in a road playoff game.

This is why a lot of pundits see the Bills window as closed because of other AFC teams like the Dolphins rise. Say what you want about McDaniel but something tells me that goofy mofo going to be one of the all time great coaches when it's all said and done.

The bills outgained the Dolphins by almost 1,000 yards across these three games lol. They walked all over the field on them, and had trouble finishing in the one game in which they used every OL on the roster and had Kumerow at WR2

in the third game they gave the Dolphins a defensive TD and like 3 drives starting inside the 20 and still won
