I agree 💯,  we don’t have to model ourselves after anyone

I’m just saying that our defense, which inevitably sucks in every postseason deciding game, held the KC O in check- got stops and turnover-  when we we mostly healthy (but still without Hyde and Tre).

just pointing out to others that defense does actually matter and the moves we made last year were very good as a combined unit- but not nearly as effective without the big dogs

You get back a Miller healthy and impactful that's gonna make a BIG difference. Plus Hyde and White staying healthy as welll...

That’s to say Allen is exactly on Mahomes level, which I don’t think he is. I do think Allen would’ve won a SB as a Chief two seasons ago when he was red hot in the playoffs and they had Hill and Kelce, but I don’t think he wins it this year with the group Mahomes was throwing to. Pat elevated those scrubs and took his game to an even higher level in the SB. Give Mahomes his credit.

I give Mahomes plenty of credit. He is a great QB and right now the best in the game. But Mahomes has one of the best OL's in the league with Allen having one of the worst. Josh deserves some blame here. He does turnover the ball over to much and he needs to clean up that part of his game. But at the same he is running for his life on many plays because of a weak OL. A better OL and Josh trying not to play "hero ball" as much as he does will help cut down on the turnovers.

One must mention:  Andy Reid vs Ken Dorsey

Mahomes #1, Josh #2 but it's close. Josh needs to take care of the ball better.

Your post had made it sound like the two QBs were simply interchangeable, “put this guy here and this one here…” and I didn’t think that was the case. Josh’s turnovers have to get cleaned up, like you said hopefully a better OL won’t have him feeling pressure where there’s none. He did leave clean pockets and made things tougher on himself as well. Another aspect of Josh’s game that must improve is field vision. I don’t know what happened this last season, but it seemed he regressed a bit. Players were open, but he wasn’t seeing things clearly. Does that have to do with the OL as well? Possibly. Allen is his own worst critic and I loved seeing his was still visibly distraught talking about the season after a few weeks had gone by. He knows what needs to be improved and hopefully takes his game to an even higher level next year.

He was a favorite personality wish it could have worked out better here.

Maybe not having Daboll was a bigger loss for Josh then we thought?

With McK released, we should have about 11.5 in space.

This should happens ASAP. I think OBJ is a very good bet if they release McKenzie and save $11.5million to use on OBJ.

A seasoned, veteran play caller versus a first year one can’t be understated. Daboll had his faults too, many on this board wanted him gone, but I like that Dorsey and Allen have an entire year of tape to pore over. They’ll get it right, I fully believe that. It’s on McD and the defense to get their side corrected.

I think it has more to do with Harty being a better mid-deep range WR. McKenzie was most effective in the short range throws.

he'd take more than that. he's asking for 15-20M. And we need $ for rookies. We would need more restructures

If OBJ comes to the Bills, I don't really understand all the hate he gets. He's had his moments on the sideline with his outbursts, but his teammates love him and he seems like he's a good dude. I think he'd fit in well

It makes all the sense in the world to extend Hyde to match Poyer, along with Daquan Jones so we can have literally one DT under contract for ‘24.

As long as all parties are willing, I’d think we could see both happening at some point.
