I found the charity of his. At 9 pm it was $29k

It's almost $875k now.

It's a couple years old and we don't even know if its still active.

I wish people would stop posting links to it.

There will be something we can do when we know more.

I think it's like my local racetrack, they put it on after their regular schedule for the races. So we will play after the super bowl for a makeup game

I mean, I kid, but a little tiny humor isn't awful. I just hate that we would play in back to back weeks like that.

They can make it up during the pro bowl slot………

Just so your aware fans hate other teams/players. The players for the most part love eachother. Sure some may not get along, just like some of us wouldn't get along. But for the most part they love and respect eachother.

Definitely was getting a little moist in the eyes when I saw burrow come over to Josh Allen

You have no idea who wanted or didn't want to do what.

My guess (just a guess) is that the "NFL" didn't call in to say anything like "get them ready in 5," that it was just officials saying the only thing they've been trained to say in serious injury circumstances. And that none of them were about to grab Burrow's arm and drag him on the field.

F that douche that is click baiting.

Hard disagree.  I think it is a good bit of information and I’ve seen many other doctors discuss this (with less detail and explanation) on Twitter as the most likely scenario too.  Doesn’t mean it’s for sure what happened, but it’s unquestionably a real possibility and something most of us never knew was possible or heard of.

I vaguely recall a Detroit Lion dying on the field in the ‘60’s, a WR I think. I believe they were playing the Bears..

Chuck Hughes WR in 1971.  Collapsed running back to huddle from a heart attack.

No, it won’t be replayed. There’s no extra time and they aren’t delaying playoffs.  just call it a tie or forfeit. figure out a tie breaker that’s fair for all 3 teams, whatever.

Just as long as our guy can get out of the hospital and be normal again.  that’s all that matters in grand scheme.

They’ll continue the game imo…bills will probably fly back out there.  Maybe they’ll push the bills pats Sunday game back a bit.

I would give all of the ESPN announcers a pass. They did what they could. They did not have a choice about staying on the air.

I can think of three events in my lifetime of similar nature with huge number of eyes watching, however what happened tonight pales in comparison to these events in the grand scheme of things worldwide.  Kennedy getting shot, Regan getting shot, and 9-11.  Probably also the 72 Olympics at Munich though I don't recall much about that one.

In both cases TV kept broadcasting what happened, they don't go off the air.  They try and give updates as best they can, that's their job.

Complicating things further is that tonight was being broadcast by sports journalists who aren't use to dealing with tragedies.
