I have a suspicion that yes, Milano misses more tackles than anyone else on the team because he's making it into position to try to tackle guys who were NOT his assignment, more than anyone else on the team.

 

It sounds as though potentially, it could be somewhat analogous to PFF's stats on OL where they actually don't know the blocking assignments and charge guys with a whiff when it actually was the other guy's job and they just tried to bail us out.

The ole "Derek Jeter stat padding". Cant be given an error if you dont get your glove on the ball.

 

Is the Milano tackle stat broken down by % of total tackle attempts?

Yes its ~15% for Milano.  Joe Marino has 10% as his acceptable level.  I think Tremaine was a bit lower than 10%.  As a team I dont think we have a good number.

I've said it before, there's just something different about the wind chill in WNY that make it feel like it cutting through your skin right to your bones.

I'm a Mets fan and even I find this ridiculous.  Errors can absolutely be charged to a fielder if the ball doesn't touch his glove.  And the notion of Derek Jeter padding any stats is nothing short of silly.

It's the humidity.  It's colder in, say, Minneapolis, but it doesn't feel the same as it does here.

 

I really want to be at the airport when the Dolphins are getting off the plane just to see their initial reactions.  With the incoming weather, I can't imagine it'll be a pleasant landing approach either.

 

Does anyone know when they're planning to fly in?

This is game where I think the offense needs to run through Singletary. He's played in the cold and the snow before. Force the Dolphins LBs to tackle him again and again and again as the temperature drops. By the 4th quarter they might not be up to the task.

Being from the south, I can attest to this. I was in Erie PA once having dinner at an Outback steakhouse. I thought I was dressed warm enough but to my shock, as soon as I stepped out of the car, that wind coming off the lake wasn't just cold, it was painful. It literally felt like my skin was being cut open. McDaniel will be burning that T shirt as fast as he could put it on, and Tua will find out trying to throw in that wind will be every bit as hard as trying to endure it

You are right. The windchill goes right to the bones. If you don’t live up here you won’t understand. Just ask any Canadian up north.

Yep. I live in the Midwest but going to Buffalo in the winter is a totally different kind of cold. You need to live there regularly to get acclimated. The wind at highmark too is not really replicated

The point is that while snow and rain affect every QB, Allen’s arm strength, mobility  and experience playing in it trend toward it affecting him to a lesser degree than the opposing QB in most situations, other than mahomes

Pro Football Reference has Milano (Missed Tackles - 13.5%) a total of 12 missed tackles.

Bills overall at 7.5%.

Allen’s running ability helps him in these conditions. He’s not handled wet weather well as a passer.

What is the talk of moving the game? This is a normal amount of snow. They aren’t moving the game for a half foot of snow.
