I don't hate Kansas City

They have a penchant for sketchy character guys. The fans that dominate their message boards are apparently juvenile morons. Everyone has their share of dopes, but what is optimally marginal is the center over there. Their local play-by-play fella is obnoxious as hell. Mahomes is pretty good on those State Farm commercials, though. In general, I've come to dislike them pretty strongly. The fact that we seem to almost always have to play them in Arrowhead irks.

I just hate them because they’re the only team I feel can beat us when it matters.. and, so far, they have.  (Even though last year was the first year we were truly on their level)

Until/When that changes, I get irrationally annoyed at Mahomes prancing around, throwing dropped interceptions at a hilarious clip and executing gimmick red zone plays that only work for KC.

Once we get past them, or avoid them to get to where we want to go, I’ll probably be able to appreciate them more.

I hate their fans (check out Chiefs Planet for the height of arrogance), and I hated Hill since he's a scumbag.  I hate Kelce because he's cocky and he kills us, but if he was a Bill, I'd LOVE the dude.

Don't really have an issue with Reid and I actually like Mahomes.  He's a hell of a player, fun (and frustrating as an opponent) to watch, and he seems to be a really good guy like Josh.  And I always like a fellow golfer, so there's that too.

Mostly, I "hate" them since they are the guys standing between us and the Super Bowl.  When we finally get past them, I'll move past "hate" (and honestly a little fear) towards a healthy respect and sense of rivalry.

And, of course, when we speak of "hate" we are talking completely in the context of sports watching.  We obviously don't really hate their players, the city or its people.  At least I don't.

I like most of the Organization.

I dont like Mahomes wife/brother from what ive seen.

I dont like the NFL choosing to help the Chiefs. Example when we were crushing them last primetime game regular season. The refs literally made up calls against the Bills in the 3rd quarter to get them back in it.

Against the Raiders after the fans booed the ***** out of the refs for that lame duck roughing the passer. They then proceeded to give the next 15 calls to the Chiefs.

No question that Mahomes is the most exciting QB I’ve watched other than Josh, the last five to seven years. Just an incredible skill player who has the winner’s mindset, just like Josh. Before we got good enough to challenge KC I even rooted for him, like in that crazy 54-51 game against the Rams.

Yeah, I don't hate them and have always liked the KC fanbase, which is basically identical to our own.

Some franchises you hate, others you don't.

I've always liked KC, Green Bay, Seattle, a few here and there.

Typically teams that don't have much of a history with the Bills and have never really done anything bad to us.

LOL

Anyone see that recent Godzilla movie where he tore up Fenway Park? That scene was pretty great, but it would’ve been even better if he tore up Arrowhead Stadium during a Chief’s open practice. Tomahawk Chop the big guy all you want, it’s not gonna work.

If they weren't the team who's knocked us out of the playoffs the last two years, or if I didn't view them as a current threat, I would root for them.  If they were in the NFC, I would root for them.

In listening to a lot of Podcasts this week, you can see where the Bills players themselves really like Pat and Kelce, which makes me like them a bit more.  Mahomes can come off a little cocky, but so can Josh.  His wife and brother are the problems.  I hear nothing but good things about Kelce and his brother's podcast is funny.  Kelce can laugh at himself.

So, I hear you.  I don't hate them. I hate losing to them.  But even this week is only a big deal to me because of the potential tie-breaker scenario for the one seed.  Win or lose, it means nothing to me regarding how the next playoff matchup will go

Is that wrong?

Mahomes is one of the most fun players in the league to watch. You almost have to love that guy as a general fan of the game. It's cool that he and Allen have so much respect for each other and have said they're friends off the field.  I also have always liked Reid, and he really paid his dues in Philly all those years.

I also see their market & history has similar to Buffalo.  Not an NFL darling, passionate & crazy fanbase.  Came up short for decades before finally having a team that can deliver.  And Patriots fans hate KC, so that has to count for something.

I find it strange that I don't hate them, because I usually hate any team that ends my team's season even once, and they've done it twice now.

Anyone else feel that way?  I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of vomit reactions, but I was curious.

I don't get into the hate as much as I did when I was a younger fan. All I want are wins. I hate losses though. Hate those a bunch. We're good enough now where no teams really disrespect us.

I'd agree that the "hate" thing is more prominent in youth.  Though, as an older dude, I find I still have it for the Patriots and Boston teams in general.  That almost feels like part of my DNA now.  But I can't say I really "hate" too many other teams (and another poster said it, but we're just talking sports hate - not real, vitriolic hate).

I don't hate them. They are not really a rival. The games the last few years have been big games because both are good. Also Allen vs Mahomes is the modern day Brady vs Manning. But once one or both of these teams decline then it will just go back to being another ho-hum game. The Pats, Jets, Dolphins I will hate those teams 24-7-365.
