Agreed.

It's funny how they are both connected through draft trades as well.

Very good point.

Basically ended up being Tre white and Josh for Mahomes. (I know bills had to do some other moves to trade up to get Josh)

I think both teams would do that same trade all over again

The since 2020 stats are really starting to turn in Allen's favor.

Yeah, Mahomes was lights out since 2018 but it's simply not a fair comparison. Mahomes sat a year and was give the keys to a Ferrari. Allen was thrown in as a rookie and given the keys to a Pinto.

2020 is really when you have to make the comparisons with these two QB's and Allen and Mahomes are nearly the same QB. Allen probably even better.

It clicked for me today the difference between Allen and Mahomes.

Allen has to carry the team/organization/fanbase/convince the media to victory every game. Everybody leans on him, and his best players run near the front with him.

Mahomes is CARRIED by his O-Line, Kelce, Hill (in previous years), infinite YAC 62 yard field goal kicker, coaches, the refs, media, etc. The poster above said it best. He was given the keys to a Ferrari.

You know the difference between the two? At the end of the 1st half, Allen had to drive 99 yards and threw a beautiful TD pass to get the glory. Mahomes had to gain 30 yards and lean on his kicker to hit a 62 yarder to get equal glory. Allen threw a bomb to Diggs, Mahomes needed Smith-Schuster to have 3 tacklers miss so he can run 30 yards into the end zone. One guy carries, the other guy is carried.

You know when we won the game today? After Allen hurdled the Chiefs player, the look on Mahomes face said it all. "I can't do that. Oh I need to score a TD now with a minute left or we lose? I don't like that."

The more Allen grows, the more the truth comes out. Allen is Atlas carrying the globe, and Mahomes expects the world to give him what he wants. Don't get me wrong, Mahomes is a HOF talent, but he's no JOSH ALLEN.

In the image below, guess which one is Allen and which is Mahomes.

I'd like to agree but I can't disregard his 6 rushing TD's. He's on pace for 20 rushing TD's on the season. That is something to note. And if he can somehow go 16-1 (they got an easy schedule) while the Bills go 15-2 he has a chance but I would still have Allen as the favorite as Vegas see's it. That said I expect the Eagles to split both games against the Giants and Eagles so I see them with at least two losses minimum.

If this happens as you state both record and stat wise, Allen wins in a landslide.  MVP race is somewhat preordained at beginning of season.  Someone would have to totally out play Allen or Mahomes, or Jackson to have a chance.  Voters too would tend to be less impressed with a QB's running TD's than passing as passing is the QB's #1 job.

Yes record matters, but would need to be much different than 1 game apart.  Maybe is Bills finish 11-6, then Hurts has a shot.

It's blowhard Skipbayless but this guy two weeks ago though Lamar Jackson was better than Josh Allen. Is he anti-Mahomes or something?

I probably wouldn't go quite that far. Mahomes is damn good. But I agree that Allen can do everything Mahomes can do plus a little more. That's what makes Allen the ultimate QB.

Fair enough. But I think time will prove me right.

Lamar isn't even in the conversation right now. Neither is hurts despite what the talking heads say.

It was a two man race and after that game Allen is light-years ahead.

Yes. Hurts is playing well, but he's no where near where Allen is as far as carrying the team.

And Allen is 2-0 against the Chiefs when hurdling a Chiefs defender. I think he knew he needed to do that.

It seems Mahomes can still be MVP if the Bills stumble in a major way.  Hard to see Jackson or Rodgers getting back in the discussion. Allen should be considered the heavy favorite after today.

He was the heavy favorite before today at the sportsbooks…it’s not even going to be close now.  Not that it can’t get tighter down the stretch.  Allen was +200 and mahomes was +500 before the game today.  I wonder if I can find any historical info on this…I feel like Allen has to be close to the biggest favorite to win mvp through 6 weeks that we’ve ever seen

At some point this season Skip Bayless trusted Baker Mayfield more than Josh, yeah he's an idiot and I'm loving what's happening to Dallas tonight in part because of his dumbass.

Bills are +280 to win the SB. That is absolutely absurd in week 6.

Tired of Lamar Jacksons name being near the top on MVP.

Just passing Lamar Jackson averages

177.83 Yards a game

2td a game

62 yards rushing a game.

.333 rushing TD a game

Totaling

240 total yards a game

2.33 TD a game.

Lets talk about Josh Allen

275.17 yards passing a game **JUST PASSING

2.333 TD a game passing

42.5 yards rushing a game

1TD+ (fractions of fraction) rushing a game.

Total

317.67 total yards a game

Around 3.333 total TD a game.

Who the heck cares if Lamar rushes for 2 more yards a game with those passing yards?

Lamar should not even be at 1000 and i bet he will still be 600-750 in mvp odds.

Crazy.
