I remember for Super Bowl 50 (if I am remembering correctly) all 50 SB MVPs were there...and they are starting to slip away.

Times passes and things change.  We say good-bye to these childhood heroes and as much as we morn them we morn the passing of our youth, as well.

RIP, Lenny.

I’m no fan of smoking these days, but damn … that’s one badass mofo.

I was looking at this photo earlier today, a beer and a cigarette during a game, that’s some serious sh-t right there😁👍

I like my revisionist idea better 😂

Back in the AFL days, I remember a black & white photo of the Chiefs lockeroom at half time with Lenny standing there smoking

a cigarrett listening to Hank Stram.   Might as well be casual about things, I guess.

Like others. I only saw a handful of highlights of him playing. But he was a huge part of my sports viewing life growing up on Inside the NFL.

Sad day news. Thoughts for him and his family

When he won the AFL vs. NFL 4th SB he was a hero.  Great team leader.

That photo is actually from halftime of SB IV.  (or 1...not sure, but it's one of them)

I grew up watching him on inside the NFL....I could NOT miss that show.

Notable, that in Todays NFL...it would be hard to produce another Len Dawson...great athlete, but got stuck behind at the back end of the depth chart in Pittsburg and Clevleland before getting a shot in KC.  Todays CAP and rookie scale make it so much less likely.  Makes me wonder a bit how many guys might be out there...maybe stuck on a bench or discarded too early because the scenario is just not the same now.

Anyhow.  RIP to Kansas City's first football hero.  He'll be missed.
