I’m not sure what to make of all this.

Flores may have a point if it being a sham interview. I think everyone knew once Schoen got the job it was going to be Daboll. They have a working relationship and giants wanted an offensive coach to help their QB. Daboll is a quality candidate. This isn’t the Texans hiring a guy who has only volunteered at a HS. So yeah, his

interview with the giants probably was just to satisfy a rule. We can debate the merits of the Rooney rule, but I’m not sure Flores has Much of a case here. Less than a month ago he had one of 32 exclusive jobs in the NFL

Now the 100k per loss is a bombshell IMO. The league just signed gambling deals and has a team in Vegas. Throwing games looks very very bad.

Flores is kind of an idiot for filing this while 5 coach openings are still available. He can kiss his NFL career goodbye. I get standing by your principles, but this seems off base to me and I’m not sure what his endgoal is

I take it you are not black and have not fought discrimination…

My point is that this is a no win situation either way for Flores. The NFL proved with Colin Kapernick that they can erase you if they want. Doesnt matter if you are right or wrong.

I don’t either we’re erased. They made decisions that were reacted to. 70% of the NFL is black. It’s not a plantation. It’s not perfect but this will only harm the NFL ( made up of 70% black players)… seems Flores is pissed because he didn’t get hired this cycle. So he’s taking down the one owner who gave him a shot. By the way I don’t think Ross is a great guy by any stretch.

Oh boy, that was one short honeymoon for Joe Schoen.

I wonder if they [NYGs] will just throw him [Schoen] under the bus due to the obvious nepotism involved in hiring Daboll and blaming Schoen for the leak of that decision prior to the completion of all of the scheduled interviews.

I think Schoen could be in deep dodo. [scapegoat].

Why they complied with the Rooney Rule.

only person IMO that is going to face fallout from this is Stephen Ross

Interviewed 2 to be exact to get in compliance to the Rooney Rule.

Yup---and neither of them had any chance as the Bills clearly wanted Dorsey all along.  Everyone here has been saying so for a week.

Since there has been a Rooney Rule, this is how teams have dealt with it.  It's not actionable.

Are you serious? Because Flores was a finalist with a 24-25 record. And an inability to work with coaches or players to create a decent O in a league dominated by O. And he hires a by all accounts highly thought of OC who developed a young QB. Yeah he’s in deep trouble..

Yes. Martin and Edgar Bennett.

Which instantly elevated their stature and dozens of others in just the last few weeks.

The system is working and Flores is exactly what I called him last year after week 17 - a loser.

25 of the 65 coordinators coming in to 2021 were minority coaches.  Up from 17.  I'm not sure if that's the correct number but it's not bad at all.

I'm not buying the Ross allegations.  If that's what happened that's all Flores had to allege and he'd still have a career - but he didn't at the time.  He did it when he was fired.

Nepotism? Far as I know Schoen and Daboll aren’t related.

Just just like Gaine, Schoen ends up back with the Bills in under a year. Nice.

Of course there is also the minor issue of Gaine and Schoen now both having been accused of discriminatory hiring practices but I'm sure all of that happened when they were out of Buffalo. Away from the Process and such, you understand.
