Numbers game.  I dont expect Buffalo to offer him the most money.  He has been at league minimum.  Hes going to get his bag.  I think Buffalo does need speed.  I like him in the slot.  Do they release Beasley and pay Mckenzie?  Maybe.  Core is the same.  The rest will change.

It’s sounds like this off season Beane is going to make an effort to get Allen more talent….his draft picks that he’s already invested heavily on defense have to play on the other side

I think Knox is a huge part in why Bills could move on from Bease/Dirty.

 

Team could realistically draft a slot WR in round 3.

Respectfully, is this a bad thing?  A QB & WR being on the same page and know each others tendencies, is a good thing and can take a while to develop.  Why try to bring in someone new to get on the same page as Josh, if he already has receivers in place?

Dude, you may feel like his value at WR has not increased, but when a backup WR replaces a starter and goes off for a 92% catch % and 125 yds, >10 yds per catch, wouldn't you think that would catch the attention of pro personal guys around the league?

hopefully mckenzie is one of them, but you only have so much to spend and who knows what another team may value/offer.

Yeah?  Where was Knox yesterday?  Both had 4 targets/touches.  McKenzie generated 2x the yards on them.

 

Me, I feel McKenzie fills a very different role on the offense than Knox does, and that we need upgrades at both TE and WR.

 

And it may be the Bills have someone in mind they plan to target for the KR/PR role as well as a slot/speed back WR, who they feel will be an upgrade to McKenzie

He was available for nothing last year and the year before and nobody wanted him. He showed some nice progress, but this is not something that people should be going crazy over. I think he tests the market as he should, but there is no guarantee he won't be back. 

 

If he decided he is gone already, it is because they want him gone. I think he should be brought back if the price is right, but I think we see a lot of turnover in the return game and in our receiving corps outside of Diggs and Davis.

I was worried he would want to leave after this year based on how he was managed. He proved himself a useful tool this year, and last year when Beasley went down. His arrow was pointing up and Beasley's is pointing down. This isn't Madden, you can't just have a quality player ride the bench in a contract year just to keep his cost to re-sign down.

When he was involved in the O the Bills won. All the big losses he wasn't. I don't know, seems like he should have been involved more. He should leave, get the pay and respect from a team that will use him to his potential

Yes, but they won’t go crazy when it’s 1 game imo.

Diggs and Davis are a good duo.  Stevenson and Hodgins are depth at 5/6.   But we could definitely serve to be more explosive out of the 3/4 WR positions.

This season, Breida and Stevenson were supposed to replace him.  How'd that work out?

About the same as the way they have managed to "replace" Levi Wallace over the years.

 

For both players they have brought in lower level competition. I believe McK was brought back a couple days before Breida signed and a few weeks before Stevenson was drafted. Looked like they were stocking the roster with guys to compete to take over for Andre Roberts. 

 

I expect this offseason for the Bills to make a real effort to replace him. Signing a RB on the down spiral and a lower draft picks just isn't it.

I don't see Beasley being back. Releasing him represents almost $6.5 million in salary cap relief. There will be younger, more dynamic options available for that money.
