I don't know the technicalities, but I can only assume it WOULD be a full time job to keep grass growing in Orchard Park, NY, especially around this time of year.

I have to assume grass is much better for the health of everyone playing, so I support the idea, even if it turns into a dirt/mud pit at times.

They keep showing nice shots of the inside of Paul Brown Stadium and it looks small and intimate compared to Rich Stadium.

 

Turns out it holds 65,535, so it is a bit smaller, but still pretty big.

 

3 tiers on the sides instead of 2.

Well in hurricane belts they have used stadiums for emergency shelters (not to be confused with Stadium Shelter which is a non-profit organization).

For the cost of some PSL's I think housing should come with the PSLs.

But a turf field and a roof would make more sense if they're worried about the turf freezing.  And I'm sure doing all that adds a lot more to the cost.

it would be easier to put radiant heating under turf than to try and grow grass in Buffalo in January with warming pipes…

That's.....actually a cool idea.  Instead of a "retractable" field like Arizona, some sort of deployable array of LED grow lights.  Line the roof with solar panels.
