If you commit to it enough you end up with some turnovers, pressure/sacks, and just general ineffective offense. I don't know that they can do that to everyone but its working for them getting them back into the conversation for best team in the AFC. The way the Chiefs defense is playing right now they can win Mahomes being below average and if he improves even marginally they are probably getting to the SB for a 3rd straight year again at worse. With the exception of KC/Titans this year Allen has not played well in big games: 4 poor to average playoff games. Maybe tonight? They have played 4 good teams this year and lost to three of them.
