Niagara Dude
I was not impressed with every kick being short of the end zone and this helping the Titans get good field position. No run up to the ball before kicking off
pennstate10
Bills thought that kicking the ball short and making Titans return would lead to poor Titans field position. s Strategy failed on Bills last kickoff and Titans started at 35. I don’t think it’s smart strategy. 3
Not at the table Karlos
Kicking it high and short sets up the chance the returner is tackled before the 20. Less of a running start for returner and coverage team should be closer.

Process
It was obviously on purpose... And not his decision... 2

Warcodered
I mean we have typically stopped the return inside the 25 which is a net positive I guess. 1
Special K
It kind of worked for the most part, but I don't like it either. Why tempt fate with the possibility of a kick return TD....just bomb it through the end zone!
Solomon Grundy
They didn’t return any of his kicks for TDs. Andre Smith had 2 crucial penalties on ST tonight
BillnutinHouston
Respectfully, you stumbled upon something that had no bearing on the outcome of the game. 3
Turbo44
It worked well until the last kickoff. it Also Opens up the possibility of a fumble. Obviously the Bills thought they had the advantage on the area and with an average drive start at the 22 you’d have to say it worked
Rc2catch
We did this a bunch last year too. It’s just a design. We’re supposed to be an elite coverage unit. Between Taiwan, Siran and others they expect to have them starting inside the 20. Doesn’t always work but it’s still pretty effective when they do it. buffblue
You could make the argument to just kick it through the end zone, but I understand what the Bills were doing. It worked for the most part save the last return.
Eastport bills
I think their game plan was a directional kick trying to get better field position or a turnover because he routinely kicks touch backs.
Miyagi-Do Karate
I actually also thought they wanted to cover more for the physicality of it— set the tone and blow them up. I think they did pretty well overall. But i am of the “don’t tempt fate” camp. Edited October 19, 2021 by Miyagi-Do Karate
BuffaloBillies
It was a "wash" overall. Nothing gained, nothing lost. They tried something they saw on tape they thought gave them an advantage. Didn't hurt them, at least they were trying something.
Dr.Sack
More collisions and a greater chance for injury. I believe we blew our one returners knee. Oh well. We are good at causing injuries which helps weaken the team in their next game. Edited October 19, 2021 by Dr.Sack

And for a team that’s been as sloppy on special teams this season as this team has, just kick the ball out of the end zone.
